Mission 10 Tourney closed and bookkeeping concluded.

Character sheets have been updated with best guess of what players wanted for a reward.

The Iron Swords takes the Tourney for most wins in a Unit, and is awarded a Hoff Heat Sink for their unit stores.

Mmm... will work on maps i guess today.

Delta indicated that they are busy moving and will be out of touch for a week or so settling in, so the Lancers missions will be delayed.

David, Teri, and Joaquin have doctor notes in and may be delayed on response, which is okay.  Their Unit commanders may make decisions for these characters if they do not respond within 48 hours.

This thread (IMO) is not the best place to make unit requests nor game announcements.  Its so easy for important notices to be buried under a day of busy beavers having the time to chat.  Chatting is what the OOC thread is for after all.

I sent a PM to Big Jake, Teri, and Joaquin on Sept. 7th with IC and OOC information, including the request for armour or ammo replacement, but the only response about armour I got was from Teri.

I do not have access to an IC / OOC Free Lancer thread other than the one with Free Lancer thread with rules in it.  I posted the request because no one posted anything to the PM thread I sent out after Kitten responded telling us we had RP threads for our conversation and she would  make us a thread if we asked.

Bottom line - we have no armour for the next mission.

Two missions unlocked, will work on getting more unlocked soon.

Tau and Zeta need to place their units, on the map, and mark their hidden units in a private tag, and then mercs can start their deployment AFTER BMs give them the green light to start dropping.  -1xp to any pilot that starts to drop before the BM is ready.

I figure if i pace myself for one a day i'm doing okay.  Two left to go, so just be patient a little longer if i havent gotten to your mission.  Two days, in the grand scheme of things isnt really that long to wait.

I have a couple of questions regarding the new missions, I figured I'd post them here because they pertain to both of the missions that my characters are in and may pertain to others as well:

- When choosing a drop option does the entire lance have to choose a Hot drop or a safe drop, or can each MechWarrior choose for themselves?

- With location drops and scatter rolls, do we choose our facing when rolling?  BM chooses facing once they apply scatter?  or do we pick our facing after they have chosen which hex we will land in?

edit: also what height are the buildings? (I may just be missing it when looking through the thread, but I don't see it noted)

All lance commanders have already choosen the hot option.

BM picks where you end up, but you pick facing.  (you have enough control during the drop to at least figure out which way you want to face).  Though if you fail landing and fall prone it doesnt matter cause your facing randomizes at that point.

All buildings are level 2.  It was said somewhere... maybe in the Officers/BMs thread.

Most things are level 2 on the maps... except the dropship which is level 6 or so.

Most VTOLs are advised to fly at and fight at level 4, to avoid terrain.

OH~!

regarding VTOLs, new house rule on sideslips, will discuss it when i come back from bringing baby to class.

You can try but scatter is probably going to foil you.  If you actually don't scatter you still need to roll to hit.

Ah yes, never underestimate the RPOL dice roller.  It's really the most dangerous adversary that we face.

Will drop a post tomorrow night in m11, just got home, after a car vs elk experience while 4-5 hours away from home. Exhausted, but thankfully unharmed. Can't say the same about the elk and the car though :/

Anything vs Corvette is bad... my dad has one, everything is 3x cost compared to a normal vehicle...
