"I haven't checked yet but I can look.  Something with the red eyes though might unlock the doors..."  Lucky said and then began to rummage through the pockets on the unconscious man.  Lucky did grab one of the potions though and downed it as he did.

Drink one of the purple potions of healing.

"I think it's that someone with red eyes had to give permission for the dragons to leave their cells.  Or something like that.  Anyway, I think the guy's gotta be awake and fit enough to speak."

Chandanar raises his hand.  "Anyone need healing?"

Selvin and Zac turned when they heard Chandanar's voice. They each raised one of their arms on the same side at the same time, "Gods, yes please. The ooze curtain thing really hurt my friend." He sounded genuinely unhappy about it.

He paused. "He gave them permission...already? Or did they say he usually does?"

Chandanar sighs and gets to work.  Everyone is healed

"I swear.  What would you guys do without me?  I think this guy has to give them permission to leave.  I don't think he's ever done so before.  It's probably like a fail safe in case someone swipes the key.  The dragons still can't leave their cages even if the door is open."

"Without you we'd be bleeding all over the place.  Thanks for the heal Chandanar.  I too think he just needs to let them out."    Lucky was ready to drag the spellcaster to the cells.

"Sure hope he cooperates."

Selvin looked at Chandanar with a raised eyebrow and a smirk. "Hey, anytime you wanna trade, you let me know. I'll sit back and do some healin' while you stand up front an' take all the hits." He let out a chuckle.

He then shrugged. "Well then. Let's go take Red Eyes back t'the cells an' work some magic, yah?" He walked over and grabbed the hopefully-only-unconscious body.

You drag Red over to the cell block.

Chandanar heals him just enough to wake him up.

He comes too and sputters, looking around wildly.  He glares at all of you.

"I ain't doin' nothin'," he declares.

"If'n you deciding to not give them permission we be feeding ya to them. I am sure they are quite hungry.
If ye give them permission to leave we will not harm another hair on yer head."   Course Lucky couldn't make the same promise about the dragons.

Selvin asked Zac to snarl, which he did. Then Selvin said, "O'course, the less you cooperate, the more my friend gets to....nibble on ya. Bit by bit. Lil' piece by lil' piece until you decide t'do what we ask." He grinned widely. "He's hungry so he's hopin' you won't cooperate."

The finger wiggler looks at Zac.  Then at the rest of you.

"Make a vow.  I do it, and you let me get away.  Safe and sound."

"I vow to let you go if you do it."  Lucky immediately says to the man.

Selvin mentally urged his symbiote to make an unhappy and hungry noise, which they did. Selvin made a soothing noise and then spoke, "I know, I know. You'll eat soon enough my friend."

He looked at the spellcaster and said, "I will...restrain my friend here from doing anything to do you."

The priest glances at Zac and then sighs.  "Fine. I didn't like that bitch anyway."

As you start to escort him down the hall towards the cells, a voice suddenly booms out of the air

WHO DARES BETRAY HIS DUTY?

Those of you so attuned, the air in the hall has started to get all buzzy feeling.  Like some major kind of magicky stuff is starting to go down.

The buzzy feeling is going from bees to wasps.  The air in the corridor is getting colder.

Chandanr blinks.  "I think something is coming.  Uh...we might wanna get this guy to the cells, like now."

Selvin had flinched slightly when the voice was heard, one that wasn't attached to anyone in the area. That he knew of. His head whipped around and he bodily turned in place as well to see where it was coming from. But he saw no one.

He hisses at the priest, "Quickly! Free the prisoners!"

And he cast Invisibility on himself and his symbiote.

22:52, Today: Selvin Larst rolled 18 using 1d20+4.  Initiative.

Lucky sped to the room and prepared himself for an attack.

He didn't know at all what the buzzing was but if it was really what it sounded like he took out a torch and would prepare.

The air in the hall starts to kind of shimmer and condense.  Selvin, you know what this is.  Something is coming through.

And in a moment, it does.  What looks like a lizard man, though one who's been working out quite a bit.  Also eight feet tall.  He wears shiny mail and bearts a large black two handed sword that seems to drip venom.  He rushes towards the priest.

He is going on a 17.

Lucky and/or Zuni heard a voice from nowhere say, "Go free them!", as whatever was about to happen was still coming.

Selvin then suddenly became visible a moment or two later - due to the launching of a flurry of attacks on the lizardman that appeared. "Neat trick!"

Lucky pulled the man back into the cell area as quickly as he could, "Zuni, give me a hand here!"

Ooooh.  This one may sting a bit.

I'll give the lovely Zuni until tomorrow to post (I know she's in the middle of a move).  And then...

Well.  You'll see.

Zuni gawked at the lizard man for a moment before pushing the priest alongside Lucky.  "Why is everyone suddenly so much taller than me?" she hissed, ushering the priest along.  "Move your ass priest!"

Selvin, you launch into lizard guy and start to tear into him.

Or you try to.  It's like this guy is built like a mountain.

He seems to pay you little mind, instead focusing on the priest as Zuni and Lucky start to hustle him down the side corridor towards the cells.

You see lizard raise his sword and throw it.  There's a loud zipping sound.

Lucky and Zuni, you both grab Red Eyes and start to get him through the door, when something comes whistling up behind you.

There's a shout and then the two of you, Red Eyes, and Chandanr are being hurled through the doorway due to the force of some impact.  Lucky, you take 18 pts damage.  Zuni, you take 14

The four of you come to a rest in the hallway.  Red Eyes groans but seems to be okay

Go ahead and post your actions and rolls please.  Zuni and Lucky, give me a perception check as well.

Selvin didn't like this. NOT. AT. ALL. This lizard guy shrugged off his attacks, throw a sword and sent FOUR PEOPLE down a hallway!! This was insane! Every time he thought he'd seen it all and couldn't be surprised anymore, more crazy shit happened!

He let out a sigh, channeled a bit of his magic and unleashed another flurry of attacks on the lizardman.

"....ow....ow....ow...." Zuni complained as she tumbled to a stop, flat on her face in a most unladylike position.  She scrambled to her feet as she moved to the priest to check on him.  He was still alive, luckily.

"Lucky?  Chandy?  You dead?" She spared a quick look to her companions and then glared down the hallway at the lizard thing.  "What in the hells was that?  I've never seen a sword blow knock 4 people around like that unless there was a Bard spinning a wild tale."

Whatever that lizard thing was, it wanted the priest.  That meant that they needed to get him out of its line of sight fast.  Zuni made ready to move the priest as soon as she saw a place to drag him.

Lucky hadn't been looking behind him as he tried to usher the cleric to the cell area.  When he was hit by what felt like a bull rush of air that crashed into him and threw him through the doorway, Lucky looked back wondering what the hell....
