Zuni held on tight.  She had to.  She couldn't see Selvin nor Zac, could only feel them.  If she lost her grip, finding something to grab on to would prove to be very challenging.

As you listen, you start to hear less sounds of combat around you.  It's more lots of groanings and wet, squishy sounds as the elemental grinds a few into greasy smears.

The two of you scan the crowd below, Zuni and Selvin

Most are scattering, trying to reform and launch a counter attack against the purple worm.

But there is a group  of about five who seem to be moving towards a door at the tower base.

Four of them are in an obvious guard position around the one in the middle.

Selvin looked about the chaos for a moment. He wasn't sure...wait. Was that? "there!" he uttered quietly. He hoped Zuni saw it ass well as he couldn't visibly point it out to her.

But he started Zac flying in a straight line for that group, double time and in to a charge if he could before they hit the door. If not, he planned on going through the doorway...or the door.

Selvin, the suspicious group is close to that door...

Let's let the dice do the talking.

Lucky heard Izzick call him but this last guy needed a lesson in manners.  Lucky slashed his blade across the man's chest, but it was only a feint to get the man to block and adjusted it at the last moment to go across his throat cutting a deep line.

Okay, yeah.  That's gonna get you guys ahead of them.  Just.  I got a 21

You arrive just as the group is reaching for the handles on the doors.

There are five big guards.  In between them are two smaller figures, both wrapped up in robes.  One is dressed in scarlet and black and the other in gold and black.  They both have hoods on.

Hard to tell which, if either of them, might be Queenie.

Thanks for the clarification Selvin.  Then you both get surprise.

Selvin trusted Zuni to do her own thing and hop off if needs be. He landed in front of the door to block it off, by rushing the two guards closest to it. In to the ground. He urged Zac to let out a roar as they became visible suddenly just as they landed and attacked.

"Knight Two to Queen! Checkmate!"

Zuni slipped off of Zac as Selvin went in for the attack.  Landing gingerly on her feet, the Dragon killing sword in her hand, Zuni dodged to the side and tried to identify who the two well robed individuals were.  If she was going to attack, she wanted to attack someone important.

The two robed figures strike action poses Zuni.  You can now see one of them is a blonde and one of them is a brunette.  What hair color was the Queen you wonder?

Seriously.  Now that you think about it, have you ever seen her up close?

Oh wait.  There was that time you were stealing earrings off the ears of rich women at a charity picnic.  The Queen was there.  Wasn't she a red head though?

The brunette and blonde stop posing and spring into action!  They're kung fu vixens!  The blonde isn't terribly good at it.  She misses completely, staggering to one side.  The brunette...she's alright, but her blows fail to connect with Zac's glowy hide.

Selvin let out a growl at the same as his symbiote did as they were harmed in return. Selvin hated seeing his friend nigh continuously harmed and healed during their time together. ~You know how much I love you, right? I couldn't do this without you,~ he thought to his friend.

Then they unleashed a flurry of attacks on the two guards, starting with the 'left' one first. "Where's the queen??"

Lucky will go with speed to help his companions below.

Selvin, you find yourself and Zac amidst a cavalcade of dangerous women.  And not the fun kind of danger either.

You take out one of the guards, and then another.  The two guards remaining both manage to land blows 12 and 11 points this time Selvin

The brunette kung fu vixen makes some showy moves, but they don't manage to connect.

Zuni, you blink as you take all this in.  The blonde one...where'd she go?  She's not here right now.

Lucky, you have arrived.

Selvin was only then starting to show the first cracks of worry. Where was Zuni? Zac was getting pretty hurt, though there was a ways to go before he would have to do something about it. Hopefully.

He snarled, a noise and gesture echoed by his friend, and then they unleashed another torrent of lightning-infused attacks at the people in front of them.

Zuni swore softly.  Neither of these were the Queen.  She wanted the Queen.  The whole point of going invisible was to sneak to the Queen and introduce her to this shiny new sword.  Selvin and Zac were taking hits and Zuni bit her lip in concern.  Selvin was tough, but he was still outnumbered.  Even with Lucky there it was not going to be an easy fight.

She swore again.  Don't make me waste my invisibility on you idiots, she thought sourly at their opponents and hesitated.  Speaking of, where had that blonde one gone?  Zuni darted about, avoiding opponents as she looked for some sign of the missing woman.

Luky, you pounce like the finally honed killing machine you are.  Your kukri carve through the brunette like a hot knife through butter.  Really.  There's absolutely no resistance.  Then the brunette just...dissipates.  Like mist before a fan.  As if she was never there.

Zuni, you cast eyes around, looking for any sign of the queen.

What you do see is the door open by itself.  Really.  No one's there.  It just came open by itself.

Must have had a bad hinge or something.  Yeah.  That's it.  It's not like anyone invisible could have just snuck out of it.

Selvin turned to grin evilly at the remaining guard. "And then there was one." Zac licked some of the blood and gore from his claws. "I'll let you walk away if you tell me where the queen is."

If she was down, he went through the door after where the queen had seemed to be heading. If she was still up, he'd do the same anyway. He didn't have to waste on her.
