...The light clears, leaving the four of you blinking.

You are no longer in the hallway, hip deep in queen dust.

Instead you are in a hall lined with black and white marble tiles.  Pillars carved into the shape of serpents hold up the ceiling.  Large, plate glass windows line the walls, though outside seems to be nothing but darkness.

At the far end of the hall from you is a dias on which sits a throne.  The throne looks like it carved from pieces of black onyx and blood red rubies.  On it sits a thin, grayish colored lizard man.

The whole room is lit by the most interesting chandelier any of you may have ever seen.  The Queen's body has been strung from cables.  Candles have been waxed all over her body and they are lit, most of them however are upside down.  The wicks point at the ground, but the flames still burn as if they were right side up.  The amount of light emanating from the Queen/chandelier is immense.  Those are some pretty powerful candles.

The gray lizard man leans forward, scaly hands resting on his withered knee.

"You are all very annoying.  I just want you to know that."

He is 80' away.  There's only the five of you in the room.  Six if you count the dead Queen hanging from the ceiling, lighting up all your lives.  But why would we count her?

Anyway, someone should say or do something.

Selvin looked around the room slowly. His eyes stopped on the queen and widened slightly. That was a gruesome lightsource. He looked at the being on the throne when they spoke. He smiled and nodded. "Thanks! We put a lotta effort in to it."

He paused and cast a spell on his friend before asking. "An' you are?"

When Lucky finally realized he was back and could see again he wished he hadn't for the scene above him was a chaotic scene with the queen quite dead and candles burning upside down.  It was as if the world turn inside out.

With something else to focus in on, Lucky did just that as he looked at the lizard looking being at the end of the hall.  "Now what!"

To ease his pain though, Lucky grabbed another potion and drank it healing himself completely.

"Zon-Kuthon."  It seems to be a response to your question Selvin

He's like supposed to be some kind of god of dragons or something.  Also the one who was trying to use Queenie to take over the world.  That guy.

The skinny, gray lizard man gestures a claw, chuckling at your exclamation Lucky.  "Now...I have to deal with the persistent hitch in my plans.  That is..." He gestures at the four of you.  "You."

He glances up at the "chandelier".  "Obviously my previous arrangements were...insufficient.  Plans will need to be changed."

He studies you all for a moment longer, then brings his hands together, resting his chin on the fist.  "One opportunity for you here.  Join me.  You are more resourceful than my previous agents."

Can all three of you make me a Wisdom check please?  Just straight up Wisdom check.

And any other rolls you want to call for.

"I knew that we weren't done." Zuni said to Selvin and Lucky.  It was a small victory to claim and she frowned at Zon-Kuthon.

He waves a finger.  The air seems to explode.

52 pts damage.  Reflex save vs 12- for half.  For those who are normally immune to such damage if they make theirs, you'll still take a quarter if you do save.

Sorry folks.  But he is kinda divine after all.

Oh, and we're in combat.  Don't worry about init.  Just post those actions.  He's an AC 17.
No I didn't mispost that.  He's easy to hit.  The amount of damage he can take is a whole other story.

The force of the exploding air dropped Zuni to her knees.  She swore.  "...Don't I get a...a.say here?!" she complained through gritted teeth.  Hells but that hurt, she thought, even though she should have been agile enough to avoid it.

Zon-Kuthon was too far away for Zuni to attack with her longsword.  The god probably didn't count as a dragon so that meant she would have to switch back to her trusty Aldori duelling sword.  Zuni ran forward, closing the distance as she changed her weapons.  She wasn't going to cover 80' in one go, so she ran as far as she could, weaving back and forth to try and throw off any follow up attack.  Hopefully.

Lucky was moving even as the lizardman began his spell.  Just as the air exploded about him he heard a whisper in his ear.  It sounded like Chandanar.  "Yes, I hear you, Chandanar!"  Lucky said breathlessly as the air was knocked out of his lungs from the spell.  Recovering he continued, "I thought you were dead?  How can this be?"

Selvin and Zac tried to twist in the air to avoid the explosion but still caught a bit. And since neither were near full health, every little bit hurt. They let out a combined growl and flew in a charge at the...god? avatar? someone pretending?

They unleashed a barrage of blows, but knew this wouldn't be anything easy.

Zonnie-Baby takes your furious barrage of blows Selvin, rising from his throne as you land sting after claw after etc.

He reaches up and grabs Zac.  Zac does not like that.  Not at all. 14 pts damage.  Zac feels like he's burning

Zuni and Lucky, you rush forward and are within striking range.

Selvin winced as his friend was hurt more, but Zac hung on. He knew there was a good chance they wouldn't both survive the battle, but he would do what he can to make sure his friends did.

They grit their teeth and tried to fight against whatever power was coming next as they unleashed another barrage of attacks on the entity.

A Freaking God! Zuni thought, looking at the lizardman who claimed to be Zon-Kuthon.  She wasn't one for religion so she couldn't know for sure if Zon-Kuthon really looked like a lizard or not.  "Whoever you are, you are going down!" she snarled.  "Your dark designs will go no further!"  It sounded corny to be sure, something entirely out of the stories that her mentor used to read her, but it seemed appropriate.

She charged up to him, thrusting forward with her Aldori blade.

Lucky can't believe what he is hearing and it has completely distracted him.  To help him focus some Lucky casts detect magic, if it was a magical building block perhaps it may show up with his magical detection.  Lucky stopped and looked all about the room hoping to spot something.

Zac feels a bit more of a shock Selvin, Only 7 pts damage this time but you/he rain blows down on Zonny-Baby.

In the midst of the claw/claw/sting/etc. flurry, Zuni you arrive and stick him.  He doesn't like that.  He doesn't like that at all.

Zon releases Zac and proceeds to backhand you something fierce 32 pts damage Zunsters

Unfortunately, the whole area lights up as magical.  Except the Queen's body.  That seems to be "normal".  Or as normal as a person-chandelier can get.

Selvin's face contorted in fury as he saw the being hit Zuni. Spittle flew from his mouth when he yelled, "LEAVE HER ALONE YOU ASSHOLE!"

The pair launched themselves at the 'divine being' once more, anger driving their strikes.

Zuni almost fell to her feet from the force of Zon-Kuthons blow.  She cursed loudly once more.  "...that bloody hurt..." she muttered through gritted teeth.  It was time to see if she could return the favour.  She slashed her blade in sweeping arcs, drawing bloody little lines on the avatar.  On her last swing, as she brought her sword back to a ready guard, she reached out with her free hand to grab at the man.

Lucky knew what the target of his attacks should be now.  The Queen was the key.  He had a way to hit her but had no idea how much damage he needed to do.  Would be so much easier if he could alert Selvin somehow but he was thick in combat and it would be hard so he turned to Izzick, "Izzick, this may sound weird but Chandanar's ghost just spoke to me and said that if we destroy the queen's body the lizard god would be trapped here.  Can you do anything to it with your magic?"

Lucky then grabbed his knife and moved 10 ft away from the lizard god and threw it at the queen hoping to do some damage.

Zon-y Baby takes notice, more so of Zuni's blade than Selvin/Zac's stings.  But he does take notice.

He also takes notice as Izzick starts to respond to Lucky's call.

A beam rushes out from Zon's hands, burning through the air and missing all of you...except Izzick.

The half orc screams and crumples over.

Lucky,, two of your knives strike Queen's body.  The chandelier swings from the impact.  Her body kind of lurches out and flops halfway out of the chandelier.  But she doesn't fall...

Selvin was an afterthought. He did some damage, sure, but the others had things that made it focus more on them. He heard Lucky's words - and even though he thought it weird that Chandanar was talking to the guy neweest in the group, he knew that ghosts and spirits were real. He saw the being turn it's attention towards Izzick, he growled out a "NO!"

Then he did something that his types were usually more known for than he did. He took a step back from the creature and started casting a spell. And it wasn't a quick cast spell either. It took him a bit more time.
