Slaughterguarde Laboratory

The tunnel opens into a roughly square chamber shored up by timbers.  Four similar posts hold up the ceiling.  A torch set in a sconce to the east of the doors lights the room.  Two hobgoblins in heavy armor lean on the far wall, guarding burnished copper doors engraved with leering demonic faces.  Unlike the earthen walls in the other parts of the room, the walls that flank the doors are made of gray-green masonry.  A hay bale is set near the eastern wall, arrows sticking out of it.

"Aaah!" Haaj nods as he says so in a low tone.
He turns his head to the others, while moving forward, as quiet as possible, to get a better line-of-sight:
"Hobgoblin guards, so Hobgoblin or bigger brute as leader I guess."

Haaj takes two deep breaths. It almost looks like he is smiling.
inhaling the second time, Haaj raises and draws his bow in one move.
As he exhales, the arrow streaks towards the Hobgoblin.

The arrow hits the Hobgoblin just below the chest armor.
But with no bloodspray and only a grunt from the beast Haaj is unsure how well he hit it. and curses under his breath

Guelph, Mina and Haajrayn get the jump on the hobgoblins before they can react.  Guelph casts a spell and his club grows much more menacing!  Haajrayn lets an arrow loose which strikes his target, but clangs off of the goblin's half-plate.  Mina waits for the right time and as a hobgoblin exposes itself, she flings a ball of acid which splatters over some of the hobgoblin's [H1] bare skin.

The hobgoblins move towards the party, keeping their defenses up.

With a simple prayer, she calls upon Heironeus' power to bring a sacred aura of protection around her companions.

Without further warning, she springs forward and charges into the melee, finds her spot next to Guelph and delivers a single blow, strong and precise, aiming for the hobgoblin's chest.

The priestess keeps her shield high, waiting for the retaliation...

Scalesa takes a step and successfully disables one of the hobgoblins for a moment.  Haajyrayn's arrow bounces off the armor of the same hobgoblin.  Mina moves freely around the defensive monsters.  However, as she moves into position, an arrow flies from the north and embeds itself in her abdomen.  Desra, seeing an open opportunity, charges towards the eastern hobgoblin and bring her longsword to a stop deep in its neck.  The hobgoblin falls to the ground, motionless.  Guelph moves forward and attacks the remaining hobgoblin, but his club swings wide.

The hobgoblin left standing takes a swing at Desra, but its pick misses as well.

Desra turns around and peruses the room, fearing more hobgoblins would join in the fight. She carefully approaches the closed doors and listens in, wondering whether the sounds of the brief combat may have dragged attention...

When she turned to Guelph and the archer, it was already over.
Something inside of her said that she perhaps should have prevented it. Killing a sleeping opponent was hardly honourable. On the other hand, that goblin had forsaken his life by attacking them with lethal weaponry. But then they were the intruders in this scenario. Yet the greenskins had probably no right to be here in the first place...

Desra suddenly turned around, almost surprised upon hearing the timid voice.
"Oh, sure doll ! Don't move..." she hastily said.

The priestess moved swiftly to Mina. She laid her shield and sword on the ground removed her gloves.
"This is going to sting a bit..." she understated.

With a quick motion of the wrist, she broke the shaft and removed the arrow, all the while incanting prayers in a soothing voice.
"Shh... don't worry, it will soon be over."

All things considered, Desra proved still to be much of an apprentice when it came to healing.

Torchlight reveals a wide and high chamber of gray-green stone.  Chains and manacles hang from the walls.  A round wooden table surrounded by four chairs sits in the middle and copper doors are set in the northern wall beyond.  Painted in red across those doors is a word of some sort.

Guelph piles the coins on the table into five equal piles and points to them with a grunt. He also gathers the goblins' cards. He takes his pile and walk over to Desra. "Found this," he says, giving Desra a key that he found at the table.

There were 150 silver pieces on the table, so Guelph has taken 30sp. He has also put the cards in his backpack to carry for now, probably for group sale later. HE also found the key which he has given to Desra.

The priestess takes her part of the coin, satisfied in having something to bring back for the temple of Heironeus. The guild's bounty, that would be her payment ; but this would make for a fine tribute.

She turns to Scalesa and comments :
"So the goblins marked the door, probably to avoid a mishap. Maybe we should take the crates and go back..."

The half-elf gives the mechanism a once-over, and then reaches into her robes, and pulls out a thick panel of fabric.  Stitched onto the panel are several words in a foreign script.  She draws several small implements out, wrapped in thin cloth, and begins to work at the locks.  "I used to be completely in the dark about this sort of thing, until it was suggested to me by an acquaintance that I learn how to finesse locks.  'Scalesa,' he said, 'You never know when you're going to need to pick a lock.  Might be one day, that you're being asked to...'."

Lt by a gently flickering torch, the nearby chamber is indeterminately wide from your vantage point.  You can see a heavily armored goblin (G2).  He's crouched, and he's picking up something and dropping it on the floor in front of him near a battleaxe.

Similarly armed, another goblin (G1) stands near crates and barrels on the southern (remember: left) wall.  He is sorting through the various goods in the containers.  A row of four triple-bunk beds lines the northern wall.

Amazingly, you are able to sneak up to the doorway without the goblins hearing you approach.

OOC:  Sorry forgot to list AC's for the goblins.  Also, Haaj, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you can move diagonal through a corner like that.

Scalesa fires a bolt which deflects off the goblin's armor with a loud *clang*.  Fractions of a second later, Guelph is next to the same goblin, swinging his club.  Almost in a baseball like fashion, Guelph's club connects with the back of the crouching goblin's helmet.  He screams in pain and surprise, and the force of the blow knocks him completely prone.

Desra's attack lands as the other goblin is turning to check the commotion.  Her longsword slices through the air...and the tip of the blade catches the goblin on the cheek, creating a bright red line of exposed flesh.  Haaj tries to edge past Desra, but can't seem to make it past the corner.

Acting more quickly than you'd imagine, the prone goblin attempts to stand.  Guelph takes an opportunistic swing, but misses.  The other goblin turns and makes an awkward swing at Desra with its battleaxe, but misses as well.

The group hustles quickly across a plank bridge, suspended from posts, and enters a natural cavern that extends to the north and south.  You can see rocks and dirt about 20 feet below the bridge.  Running through the middle is raised earthen pathway, which some of you find yourselves on.  You hear a strange scratching from the dark to the north.

Illumination: Shady illumination from the torches in L5 extend to just beyond the southeastern suspension bridge.  It's dark otherwise.

Mina's blast turns the first rat into a pile of sparking flesh.  Haaj shakes his bow in frustration at missing the small target, and Scalesa takes a defensive posture on the brige, keeping a lookout from behind.  Guelph's club turns into a menacing weapon.  Desra, despite her vast knowledge of rats, misses her target.

The second rat bites at Desra, but she blocks it deftly with her shield.  The third rat approaches and also tries snapping at Desra.  She left an opening with her previous block, but luckily the rat bites nothing but the scale protecting her foot.

Mina's spash of acid lands on the third rat's skin, causing it to blister.

Haaj continues to curse his bow, but fortunately the others in the party are able to pick up the slack.  Guelph, with an appreciative nod to Mina, leaves the third rat as a splatter-mark of blood and viscera.  Desra is already in mid-swing as the blood from Guelph's blow splashes across her face and armor, yet the distraction doesn't bother her one bit.  She pierces the rat's side and it squeals one final time.

The cavern falls silent after once the squeals of the rats are silenced.  Desra's shield casts light out on the ground immediately in front of you, but the cavern outside of 20' remains in the shadows (except for those with low light vision).

Four circles of glowing red sigils are carved on the floor of the large chamber 20 feet below you.  A massive creature seemingly formed of stone walks around them, a two-bladed sword held in its rocky gauntlet.  It pauses and turns its head to look at you, then resumes its walk among the glowing circles.  On the far side of the chamber, to the north, is another ledge like the one you're standing on.

Re: Slaughterguarde Laboratory

Some luck finally shines on our heroes!  Seeing an opening in the defenses of the goblin in front of him, Guelph swings his mighty shillelagh with all his might.  His club strikes the goblin square in the jaw.  The others in the party hear two impacts: Guelph's club striking the goblin and the lower portion of the goblin's face striking the wall.  A slow-forming trail of blood is left as the lump of flesh and bone fragments slide down the rough stone.  The creature barely has time to recognize what's happened before falling over, dead.

Desra makes a valiant attempt to shove the goblin back and into the pit behind it, but somehow the goblin is able to keep it's balance and resist Desra's rush.  As Desra steps forward, the goblin lands a quick strike.   Seeing the goblin distracted, Haaj lands a deep wound and presses forward!  Scalesa swings but can't manage the same good fortune.

Mina takes a moment to bind the incapacitated goblin  and observes the hulking creature.

The cornered goblin, finding leverage, attacks Desra and hits once again!

Ignoring the pain, she put all of her anger in her sword and stroke hard... but missed.
The weapon-master at Heironeus' Temple was right... wrath brings up no talent.

She grinned and tried to remain focused and keep her shield high, despite the growing pain, despite the blood slowly dripping along her thigh...

As Guelph hit the goblin fair and square, reducing his face to a pulp, Desra felt a sudden relief. She took three steps back and leaned against the wall. The pain in her arm was serious, but she was more concerned for her leg.

"We need to assess..." her voice was feeble, "what this guardian does..." she winced, "and whether it could jump on us here..."

She rested her sword by her side and unbound her shield.

She warmed her palms and placed it on her thigh, and whispered :
"O Benevolent Justiciar ; ease the pain of your servant."

A warm light in soft hues of blue descended from her hands to her wound, calming the pain and invigorating her flesh.

She leaves the other in charge of the interrogation, as she feels she might be too soft for that task. Maybe she can step up and play the good guy if intimidation and threat proves ineffective.

She limps to the edge and peruses the room downstairs. She inspects every feature of the ceiling and the floor, checks for openings and of course considers the artificial monster with a puzzled interest.

She wags a finger.  "They're definitely ones I've seen before.  They resemble thaumaturgical circles used to summon demons.  It's in the pattern.  Thank the Seldarine, those things are no longer operational." She then nods towards the construct.  "And that, friends, is a Maug.  A construct native - as much as such can be - to the plane of Acheron." She briefly glances at Desra, to see if the young priestess has any sort of reaction to the lawful and pitiless plane.  She then returns her gaze to the patrolling hulk.

"Putting two and two together, I'd have to say that our friend, here, was asked to guard those circles.  We might be able to get some more history from sleeping beauty, over there," she points to the goblin, which is beginning to stir.  "So perhaps we should be a little more patient than we might otherwise be.  As sure as our friend is from Acheron, I don't want to bump into any demons." With that, the beguiler puts her mace back into its loop.

“This middle mirror on the northern wall, I couldn’t see my reflection at all.” She said looking over her shoulder toward Scalesa. “Instead I saw a square room that had piles of ruined armor on the floor.  Squatting in the center of the room was a metallic beetle the size of a large dog.” She said pausing, "There were glowing mirrors lining the walls, and a corridor led to the right, somewhere from down that passage, there was a bright light glowing.”

Desra listened to the explanations, but there was not much she could add. The other ladies had covered it pretty thoroughly, it seemed. Besides, she was not exactly the brains in this operation. Good-hearted and strong-willed, quick to react and tough to break, but not that well endowed in the knowledge and rational thinking department.

She was clever in her own way though, thus while the others dealt with the interrogation of their prisoner of "war", she started thinking on how to get to the other side without risking the wrath of the artificial monster.

She considered the ladder and tried to place it in such a way that it could grant safe passage to the other lofty area. If it was too heavy, she'd ask one of the men to help out.

Since the artificial guardian seems, if not friendly, at least harmless for now, Desra lets the more intimidating (and goblin-speaking) in the group deal with the prisoner and climbs down the ladder.

She carefully keeps her distance from "Karga", and circles wide around the summoning circles to get a different perspective on the room. She's especially interested in what happens on the opposite ledge --if anything.

Scalesa leaves the howler knowledge to Mina, and just watches it cautiously.  Then, ye gods, the construct of Acheron scales the wall in a blink and a half, and begins attacking it!  She makes a very impressed noise, albeit sheepishly, owing to the fact that they were not fighting for her amusement, but to settle an insignificant part of some cosmic battle that she knew next to nothing about.

Looking at the two extraplanar beings standing together, the half-elf felt that her issue with "bad" goblinoids was similar, albeit far less significant, and that she and the goblin were like grains of powdered sugar.

Desra had spent a long moment just staring at the creature, trying to assess how best to go past it without risking a bloody fate. She was just questioning whether she would be able to make a suitable shelter of her shield whilst crawling back to the wall and towards the stairs at the end of the maze...
...but then everything accelerated. The construct guardian was up and ready to attack the demonic spiked hound. It charged and landed a severe blow, and the young priestess decided that she could not let the centennial creature fight this battle alone. While her weaponry might prove ineffective against such monster, her fighting skill might at least give Karga a tactical advantage.

She took a step sideways and launched herself blade first against the hind legs of the "howler". The sword found its way to the fleshy part above the knee, and while it did not sever an artery, she hoped it would at least cause the monster pain and distraction.

The howler glances back and gives a menacing growl towards Desra.  It turns towards her for a moment, but then redirects his attention at Karga.  It lunges, mouth open, at Karga but misses.  The quills on the howler glance off Karga's thick skin with hollow thuds.

The party moves steadily towards the stairs, Mina pausing to inspect the pattern, and Haaj ready with his bow.

With a shrill battle-cry, three goblins approach the balcony and glare down at the party.  Dressed in hastily-donned armor, they each carry several javelins and have short swords on their hips.

The three goblins launch a javelin each at Haajrayn, Desra and Scalesa.  Haaj is able to deftly dodge the projectile, while Desra deflects the one aimed for her with her shield.  The javelin headed for Scalesa falls short and harmlessly skids to the wall behind her.

Haaj, who had an arrow at the ready, fires at the goblin on the western balcony.  It hits the wall well below the goblin and shatters.

Re: Slaughterguarde Laboratory

Desra and Guelph move up the steps and into close combat, while the others maneuver and try to provide cover fire.

The first goblin to fall (G1) remains still, while the other (G2) slowly gets to his feet, looking disoriented.  The goblin left on the balcony takes a slow step towards Desra and swings it's short sword...a miss!

Desra and Guelph can now see an opposite set of stairs leading down the other side of the platform.  Two hobgoblins, alerted by the sounds of battle, move up the stairs.  They are dressed in half-plate armor and the trip up the stairs looks laborious.

Re: Slaughterguarde Laboratory

Haajrayn's attack start's the adventurers' turn off with a scare...his arrow flies so badly off of his bow that it nearly hits Desra!

Guelph then steps forward and delivers a crushing blow to the hobgoblin next to Desra.  The overgrown cudgel leaves a dent in the creature's helmet, as well as its skull.  With a guttural moan, it slumps to the ground.  Desra then presses her attack, stepping over the body of the just-fallen goblinoid.  She finds a weak spot in the hobgoblin's armor, pulling her blade back with dark streaks of blood.

While Mina hangs back and tries not to exhaust her last spells, Scalesa's magic causes the remaining goblin on the balcony to stare blankly at Desra.

The goblin near Scalesa takes a step forward and swings it's short sword, but the effects of the fall hadn't yet shaken off.  Not only does he miss, his sword flies out of his and and hits the wall behind Scalesa!

The last hobgoblin swings a heavy pick at Desra, and it passes within an inch of her kneecap...a blow that almost certainly would have disabled her.

The adventurers press the attack!

Haajrayn shoots another arrow into the wall, but shortly after his arrow misses a small ball of electricity whizzes past him to strike the goblin square in the neck.  It twitches a few times before falling to the ground.

Guelph and Desra do-si-do to prevent them from being flanked.  Guelph misses his attack, but Desra lands a square uppercut to the goblin's jaw which flings it into the air.  After what seems like a (rather enjoyable, for Desra) eternity the goblin lands in a heap at the bottom of the stairs.

Not deterred by the failure of it's brethren, the last remaining goblin snarls and swings at Guelph.  He slaps the blade aside with ease.

The goblin takes a few sharp breaths and looks around with wide eyes at the arrow protruding from his chest.  Regaining his composure, it snaps the shaft of the arrow, leaving only a short, shattered end.  The goblin raises its short sword again to strike Guelph, but instead coughs a splatter of blood across his face (to match the goblin viscera covering Desra, I suppose).  It drops to one knee before falling over and lying still.

For the first time in a while, the sound of silence fills the area.  Only faintly do you hear Karga's thudding steps as he vigilantly guards his post.

OOC:  Congratulations!  An encounter I thought would never end...poetic justice that Haj would win the day with a critical! :-)  I'll update with a description of the balcony and adjoining room soon (don't have my materials at the moment).

The fallen goblins are still there...forgot to include them in the map.

Balcony (L7)

A dozen simple bedrolls are spread on the floor.  Wooden rails guard balconies to the northwest and southeast.  Four small footlockers are here as well.

Operating Room (L6)

A table in this torchlit room has a stool at either end, as well as a pile of arrows atop it.  Unusual tools are on the walls, a bloodstain running from each to the floor.  Channels around the room lead to a drain in the center.  A railed balcony overlooks the northwest corner, explaining the high ceiling.

Desra is still shocked by the brief but grisly combat. Her training had not prepared her for that... if she was ever in charge of novices, she would send them to a slaughterhouse after the fencing lessons and physical exercises. Hitting dummies with a stick, however well and often you do it, is nothing compared to gutting a goblin... and the smell...

She snapped out of it and tried her best to swipe the fluids and bits from her armour. She used the goblins' clothes or sheets to that end. Once she looked respectable again, she went through the pads to make sure that no one was still hiding there. She used the light still active on her shield to get a clearer view.

Once she was certain the loft was safe, she turned to the ladder.
"Guelph, cover me while I climb down."

The priestess sheathed her longsword and started slowly going down.

The group explores the rooms with no sign or sound of trouble.  Both rooms contain a set of burnished copper doors (the white rectangles on the map) which open eastward; vertical handles on both doors are located near the center of the doors.  On top of the table are 100 functional arrows.

Guelph discovers all the goblins are wearing studded leather armor and carrying short swords.  Their javelins are scattered about the room with markings on the floor.  He finds a small key on one of them, which looks similar to the key found near the entrance of the area.  The hobgoblins are all wearing half-plate, carrying wooden shields and heavy picks.

Mounted on the walls are three scalpels, four daggers, two forceps and three light hammers...all appear to be of masterwork quality.  Strangely, they appear to be dripping blood, albeit at a very slow rate.

OOC: 3 to 2...onward!

The group readies themselves as Guelph prepares to open the doors.  He carefully slides the wooden bar out of the handles and pulls on the doors...

As the doors open, flame ignites atop six tiny copper braziers resting in holes cut into a number of short partitions jutting from the eastern and western walls of this dusty room.  In the illumination they provide, you see that roughly parallel scratches run along four sections of the floor, perpendicular to sets of copper doors - one you entered through and another across the room.  The ceiling has four dark slots cut into it along matching paths.  You can't see into the slots, which are about 3 inches wide and run the length of the room.

OOC: It might be a few days before I can upload the map, which will help visualize the room.  Facing out from the door (south), the room is 15' long and 20' wide, with a similar set of doors directly on the other side of the room.

Otherwise, initiative is in order front-to-back from the door:

Re: Slaughterguarde Laboratory

After some trepidation on the part of Haaj and Guelph, Desra slides past them and into the room.  As soon as she steps into the room, three huge scythes swing down from the slots in the ceiling.  Fortune favors the brave, however, and no blade of death falls from the slot in the ceiling above Desra.  The three blades that did fall swing back up into the ceiling.

Desra searches the room and from where she's standing she can see that the dust in front of the other door has been disturbed.  She can also see that the two center scratches have a brown stain near them.

Desra can also see that the six braziers on the wall are removable and might be worth some coin.

At this time, Guelph's club returns to a normal size.

Re: Slaughterguarde Laboratory

Desra was shocked and thanked the Holy Justiciar for her survival. She dropped to one knee and prayed for a moment until the others caught up. She stood up and cast her light towards the ceiling to understand what had happened, how the mechanism was triggered and how it would be rearmed.
"That was close..." she commented, still pallid.

The experience had tuned down her eagerness to press on... She was still curious to discover what was behind... But not so bold as to go onwards by herself.

"Should we fall back on the loft area and rest there for a few hours?"

"Although the balcony further back on the other side of Karga might be even safer, although less comfortable, should anything decide to come through the doors by the beds. And I think these doors here may correspond to the ones where we fought the goblins around the table: I seem to remember Scalesa saying those doors were marked 'danger'."

Since they all were in agreement, more or less, Desra led the small band back to the first relatively safe place they had encountered.

"We should organize shifts to stand guard through our brief rest. The construct will probably help by its presence, but that can't be our only alarm."

She proceeded to strip off her armour, a complicated procedure for someone who has never seen it. It takes a few minutes until the young priestess is down to her clerical robes.
"An odd place to camp..." she commented.
Her eyes drifted to the bodies of dead hobgoblins in the next room.

Re: Slaughterguarde Laboratory

The group, finally in agreement about resting, begins to settle down for a period of quiet.  Even though it's only been a short amount of time, removing armor and dropping packs feels quite good.

First priority is making the space a bit more livable.  Desra and Guelph start to move the goblin and hobgoblin corpses, clearing the balcony space above the room where the howler was found.  The beds are not especially comfortable, but are better than the stone floor and a bedroll...and this room gives the best vantage point in case something does come wandering around.

As a matter of habit, a couple of adventurers start to break out some rations.  They quickly realize however, that they have no apparent hunger or thirst!

Before doing anything resembling resting, Scalesa sticks an ear to the danger-door, in an attempt to listen for any...danger.  She volunteers to take the first watch.

Oh, honey...

Watch order?  I volunteer to go first.  Priority is on minimal exertion, so I can re-memorise spells.  I recall Mina being curious about Scalesa's spellcasting ability, so there could be a brief sentence about how the two have a quick back-and-forth about that before Miss Spellbook gets some shut-eye?  Thought it might make for a nicer post than "Scalesa keeps an eye and an ear out for danger.".

Re: Slaughterguarde Laboratory

The group sets the watch and makes the transition to slumber.  Weary from battle, sleep comes easy.  The only sounds to be heard are the faint thuds of Karga's feet as he continues his endless watch.

As the group prepares to bed down, the light from Desra's shield slowly dims and dies away, leaving only shadowy illumination from a torch in the other room (L6).

Scalesa takes the first watch and spends some time chatting with Mina, each interested in the others ability to recall spells.  The topic, combined with Karga's footsteps, quickly puts Guelph and Haaj to sleep.  After a while, Mina succumbs to the night as well, leaving Scalesa alone.

The rest of the hours pass uneventfully, and the group awakes feeling as refreshed as one could expect.  The one exception is Guelph.  In the night, he has sweated through his sheets and wakes with a high fever.  His muscles are sore and he goes between hot and cold flashes.  He musters the energy to rise and is able to function normally, albeit not at 100%.

Desra takes some time to pray when they wake up, but she is soon alarmed by Guelph's condition.
"This might be an infection, spread by the rats or the hobgoblins... we cannot let this go untreated... let me pray for you first."

The young priestess spends a long time in silence, her lips barely moving. As she finishes her prayers, she starts donning her armour, as a ritual. She places herself in the service of Heironeus for one more day.

She then goes back to Guelph and checks his vital signs. There's little her spells can do for him, but she tries to keep his fever down with a wet towel.

OOC: I don't think anyone has darkvision.  Let me know if I'm wrong.  I'm also going to try to hold truer to the 'vision and light' rules (on both sides of the coin.)

Having issues with the map, but it should be up soon.

The group picks up and packs up, dons armor and is soon ready to continue the search of the underground network.  Once everyone is set, the team uses a similar tactic to open the eastern copper door that they did for the others.  On Guelph's nod, the heavy doors push open without issue.

The dim light from the torch in the "operating room" reaches a few feet down into a 10' wide corridor, albeit only a short distance before natural darkness takes its place.  Before the light fades the group sees nothing but the smooth stone on the walls and floor of the hall.  Straining, the group hears nothing from the darkness.

With Desra and Guelph in the lead and holding torches, our adventurer's proceed down the hallway.  After a turn to the left, the tunnel opens into a large room.

Four zombies, all obviously once hobgoblins, shuffle listlessly across the floor of this room. An ornately carved arch takes up the entire western wall.  It's a larger, more detailed version of the demon arches you've seen, but this arch doesn't just have a blank wall beyond it.  Two of the smaller demon arches, one above your heads, pierce the southern wall.

With a shrug, Scalesa makes use of a very simple spell.

[Language unknown: "Sitrwi setilltin acanpl ereen ronc, ro com, in nti!  Icenas ereanyrea n mo eeanhi p fo!"]

It wsa a glamer spell, that she hoped would work on the undead.  Nobody who trained her in the more arcane arts of beguilement said a word about whether or not undead were subject to sensory tricks like the living were!

Casting ghost sound with the intention of creating a noise like a jaunty marching order in Goblin, to attempt to distract the zombies.

Sound should originate between Zombies 1, 2, and 3 - Zombie 4 is exempt from this class!
