Haaj, stands out of the way, bow in hand and an arrow resting on the string.
His gaze keeps moving around the room, listening for more goblinoids.

The table is moved and Scalesa gets to work on the lock.

The party hears nothing else from down the halls.

Re: Slaughterguarde Laboratory

Scalesa flexes her fingers and pops her knuckles, before attempting the lock again.

She sighs again. "Son of a... I can get a man's purse open with a wink and a nice word, can't...gods-forsaken thing must be busted..." She says this a bit too loud for her liking.  "Busted... Busting... That's it!  Are any of you confident in their ability to break locks?  I think this thing might need some tough love to open up."

Scalesa rolled 18 using 1d20+3 ((15)).

Desra shows the key that Guelph had given her and asks :
"I don't suppose that this would be it ?"

If -as expected- the key does not open the box, the priestess suggests :
"How about we try and have a look further into this complex, and make a not to come back to check on this box later on ?"

In reply to Guelph (msg # 82):

Mina was feeling a bit better now. At least her head stopped spinning when she moved too quickly, that in itself was a vast improvement. As she watched the door, she stayed alert to any movement or danger form the other side.

When it was time to move on, she nodded. "Perhaps you're right and we'll find the key farther inside the dungeon. If we can't force it open, no one else is likely to be able to do so either."

Guelph takes a long look up the corridor, then begins to move forward.

Heading up......think that is west....any chance we can change the bearings to north instead? Makes my head hurt :)

"My uncle got me this sword..."

She followed Guelph towards the western corridor.
High shield, sword at the ready.

The group heads west (sorry, Guelph!) through the dark tunnel.  Several feet down the tunnel, you come a ladder.

Guelph shoulders his shield, puts his club on his belt and, after looking over the edge to make sure he doesn't climb down into a world of hurt, begins heading down the ladder.

In reply to Haajrayn (msg # 95):

Mina with stood back to those heading down the ladder, watching the hallway behind them. Once everyone is down, she joined them.

She remained quiet for the moment. As the others searched the area for signs of danger, she remained on watch by the ladder.

Re: Slaughterguarde Laboratory

Lt by a gently flickering torch, the nearby chamber is indeterminately wide from your vantage point.  You can see a heavily armored goblin (G2).  He's crouched, and he's picking up something and dropping it on the floor in front of him near a battleaxe.

Similarly armed, another goblin (G1) stands near crates and barrels on the southern (remember: left) wall.  He is sorting through the various goods in the containers.  A row of four triple-bunk beds lines the northern wall.

Amazingly, you are able to sneak up to the doorway without the goblins hearing you approach.

Desra wasted no time over-thinking the situation. Whatever these goblins were doing, it would be no good to them. She dashed forward and took a swing at the nearest foe.
