Mina did not want to take away her companions suprise attack by casting a spell, so for the moment she watched the hall behind them and waited for the attack to begin.

Re: Slaughterguarde Laboratory

OOC:  Sorry forgot to list AC's for the goblins.  Also, Haaj, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you can move diagonal through a corner like that.

Scalesa fires a bolt which deflects off the goblin's armor with a loud *clang*.  Fractions of a second later, Guelph is next to the same goblin, swinging his club.  Almost in a baseball like fashion, Guelph's club connects with the back of the crouching goblin's helmet.  He screams in pain and surprise, and the force of the blow knocks him completely prone.

Desra's attack lands as the other goblin is turning to check the commotion.  Her longsword slices through the air...and the tip of the blade catches the goblin on the cheek, creating a bright red line of exposed flesh.  Haaj tries to edge past Desra, but can't seem to make it past the corner.

Acting more quickly than you'd imagine, the prone goblin attempts to stand.  Guelph takes an opportunistic swing, but misses.  The other goblin turns and makes an awkward swing at Desra with its battleaxe, but misses as well.

Desra takes a short step forward to give Haajrayn some air, and swings her sword at the goblin's exposed throat. She misjudges the distance though, and the blade poses him no threat... she keeps her shield high and mutters :
"By the Righteous One, I shall be the end of you, goblin scum !"

Not wanting to take the chance of injuring Geulph, Mina decided against casting a spell, and instead moved climbing down the ladder and taking up a defensive position next to Scalesa.

Re: Slaughterguarde Laboratory

Scalesa's arrow flies true and finds a weak spot in the goblin's armor.  It staggers for a moment, but somehow remains on it's feet.  The goblin wobbles at the last moment and is able to dodge Guelph's attack.

Desra and Haaj both take swings at the other goblin, but miss as well.

The goblin neareast Gulph, barely able to stand, retreats down the hallway in front of the group.  The remaining goblin, realizing it's trapped, snarls and shows it's yellow teeth.  It swings a battleaxe at Desra, but it goes wide.

Those who can see down the hallway notice the goblin turns right after the wooden plank bridge.  It hollers something in goblin, [Language unknown: Wit!  Wimadi ti onsessateset!]

"Expect company!" Scalesa warns.  She looks at her companions working on the goblin, and decides that they can deal with it, while she will work on whatever company is present...

Scalesa begins to shape arcane energies.

sorry ; I did not realize we were waiting for me...

Desra did not catch what the other goblin had said, but she got the idea. She raised her sword, hid behind her shield, took a step sideways and tries to stab the goblin behind the neck... but that didn't work out exactly how she had planned...

hit AC16, 9 damage (bonus for flanking not included, if applicable)

Our heroes take turns swinging (and missing) at the sole goblin.  He returns an errant strike.

You hear nothing from the exit the other goblin fled through.

You still hear nothing from the exit the first goblin fled through.

Scalesa nods, and proceeds behind any others.  As much as her hands are on her crossbow, she is intent on releasing a spell of sleep as soon as she sees the goblinoid reinforcements...

"They had better make nice with their gods, because they're going to be awfully irate when they find out who's been sleeping on the job..."

Re: Slaughterguarde Laboratory

The group hustles quickly across a plank bridge, suspended from posts, and enters a natural cavern that extends to the north and south.  You can see rocks and dirt about 20 feet below the bridge.  Running through the middle is raised earthen pathway, which some of you find yourselves on.  You hear a strange scratching from the dark to the north.

Illumination: Shady illumination from the torches in L5 extend to just beyond the southeastern suspension bridge.  It's dark otherwise.

OOC:  I'm a little too lazy to check through the sheets.  Which of you have low-light/darkvision?

no such thing on my end

Desra crossed the plank bridge with a bit of fear that it might break. It did not, which was good, but it led into darkness, which she did not like...

Uttering a brief prayer, she summoned the light of the invincible into the room.
