Re: OOC
I don't really have any official preference on posting rates, but I will gladly consider any suggestions or concerns you all may have.
It can be a bit difficult to gauge the ideal posting rate for a game, but as long as you aren't making extra posts faster than the majority can read them (in this game's case, it seems like most active players check in approximately once a day when people are posting) then you probably don't have to worry too much about being impolite. Also, as Tora noted, it probably isn't possible to continue the game smoothly waiting for everyone, particularly since a few of our players haven't checked in yet this new year.
As a gm, my own posting rate currently might have some exceptions in the following circumstances:
1. Someone made an action that influences the story. If, for example, someone pressed the big shiny button of doom, that is something that needs to be resolved as soon as possible to continue the story. If other people have had time to read it and haven't responded, I assume they are waiting for a result.
2. Someone is doing their own thing. If one of you is off fishing alone or something, then your part in the story doesn't need to go exactly the same rate as everyone else's.
3. If the majority of players have read the last post, and the game goes inactive for a week or so afterwards without any notices of absence, I tend to make a post (sometimes even a double post) to reflect the progress of time. I have personally found that this helps to move the story, particularly if players forget to check the game or don't know what to do.
This is by no means an official policy, so let me know what works best for you all.
I love playing with each and every one of you so far, so it's the least I can do to try to work something out if anything can be improved. Thanks, and sorry for the long post. ^_^
(PS: if you are going by a formal/informal posting order, please don't wait for Zigor, since he's my character I don't really feel comfortable talking to myself too often. :P )
