T2K v4 House Rules

Sniper Scope - +1 to slow aimed shots, +2 if supported (this is RAW)
3-4x scope - +1 to aimed fire at medium and long range only
Red dot - aiming is a free action at short range only. Requires batteries.
Laser sight - +2 to unaimed fire indoors/at night out to 100m, reveals your location to observers. Requires batteries.
IR Laser Sight - +2 to unaimed fire indoors/at night out to 100m. Can only be seen if using night vision. Requires batteries.

Suppressors are included in RAW but without any actual effect. I played the effect off like this - at night it masks muzzle flash, otherwise masks gunshots. So if you have two people shooting at the NPCs one with a suppressor, the other one without, they would return fire at the second guy only. (unless the first guy was really obvious, in clear sight or something like that). So basically I let suppressors reduce the player's target priority in the eyes of the NPCs.

T2K v4 House Rules

World War 3

War, huh, yeah
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing, uhh

While no one can be completely sure if it was deliberate or not, World War 3 started on December 17th, 2022. A Russian Kinzhal missile, intended for an arms convoy from Poland into the Ukrainian city of Lviv, malfunctioned and struck the Polish town of Przemyśl. The missile ended up striking an elementary school, and prompted a quick response from NATO. Article 5 was immediately enacted and multiple jets entered Ukrainian airspace. NATO had complete control of the airspace over the Ukraine in less than 30 minutes, it would not last though. Russia responded, by initially, scrambling every working jet they had within range of the Ukraine, and ended up giving a better fight than they had previously, but it was more of a delaying tactic, for something much more sinister.

Approximately 45 minutes after NATO declared Article 5, dozens nuclear missiles were launched, targeting targets all through Europe and the United Kingdom, though surprisingly, none were launched at the United States. France and the United Kingdom responded in kind. Even with such a limited window of warning, missiles were intercepted, on all sides, though not all. From Russia's initial launching of missiles, 5 of them ended up striking targets.

T2K v4 House Rules

Gunner would use Heavy Weapons and Agility to calculate base dice (like when firing MGs), but still use the Ranged Combat tables as when firing MGs (as apposed to Heavy Weapons tables), to calculate attack modifiers

The current rules do not really cover high ROF weapons (like rotary cannons for eg.), with ROF limited to 6 (max) in game (anything greater than 800 rpm).

The Quad mounted .50's have a real-life ROF of 575 x 4 = 2,300 rpm (!)

However, if it were my game, I'd make the ROF for the M2 (.50 cal) quad mount either ROF 12 (which would be a ROF of 3 for each gun), or do a hybrid rule such as ROF = 6, but all targets in hex auto suppressed or somefink like that.

It should be a nasty thing to face.
