Hello all,

Well, I apologize for my disappearance!  But here I am.  I am willing to get this game restarted again, but if we do that I think we all need to re-commit to the game, meaning everyone posts every day during the week for at least the first few weeks to get things rolling.  That's what kind of disheartened me about the game previously . . . it seemed (to me, at least) that the commitment to the game was waning.

So I'm willing to get back into the saddle if everyone else is willing to do so.  I'm thinking about a restart date of April 16th or 23rd, whatever works best for everyone's schedules.

If you guys are over the game I completely understand.  But if you want to get it back into gear and are committed to doing that I'm on board as well.  :)  Let me know.

It's not that I've ever lost any sort commitment to the game; far from it.  I just...button up when my depression gets too deep.  It's been pretty bad for most of the last year but I feel like I'm on the tail end of a long spell.  I've been seeing a new (much better) counselor since I began taking classes at the U of O.

Suffice it to say, this is the best game and group I've ever been involved with.  Of course I want to get everything rolling along again.

Hah ha! Good to hear from you Cato, and you too Pisca, Liseth. I can't wait to hear how you have all been, and to see Racon at his finest once again.

Oh, and as for your original question...

I'm completely in favor of restarting the game.  I will try and do my best to make daily posts, however, I've since changed jobs, and my new employers blocks RPOL from work (along with a bevy of other web sites).  95% of nights or so, I have no problem making a post from home, but sometimes I just have too much going on.

What week is best for everyone to restart?  9th?  16th?  23rd?

I’m all in favor of sooner being better, whenever everyone is ready. The 9th is s little busier than usual, but I can do it.

I open another play this Friday.  But for me, all the hard work is already done.

To tell you the truth, no day is any better or worse for me.  I'm good with anything.

Okay, we'll start back up on the 9th if that works with Liseth's schedule.

I've actually signed up for a camping trip with my geology class on the 14th and 15th.  Saturday and Sunday.  I don't think I would have Internet service out in the Oregon Fossil Beds.

I wouldn't be able to do anything on those two days, but if that's okay I'm happy to begin on the 9th.

I think re-reading the most-recent parts of the story--at least back to where the party landed in Magnimar--would probably be good.  Other than that just maybe do some finger exercises.  ;)

Exciting stuff!

So I've been giving this some thought.  I think what we need is a way to keep everything fresh; fresh and new is exciting, once it becomes routine is when posting rates decline.

What I want to propose is that we alternate campaigns on occasion.  Don't run two games concurrently; that's a big hassle.  But have another game with different characters that we switch between.

For example, say we play Runelords for a few months and finish the chapter that we're on in the adventure path.  Then instead of jumping straight into the next chapter, we take a break from Runelords and play in a different campaign with different characters.  Maybe even have another one of us GM if we're all up for it; to give Racon a break.

We do that campaign for a while, then switch back to Runelords.  That way we can keep things interesting and hopefully combat the laxness that comes with everything being too routine.
