Re: Possible Restart

Well, I cured everyone for 5 points...that was a pretty bad roll.

15:14, Today: Liseth Thoradin rolled 5 using 3d6+1.  Channel Energy to Heal.

In reply to Liseth Thoradin (msg # 330):

About as well as Pisca's doing.

Pisca Neep Freemish rolled 6 using 1d8+5.  CLW.

Re: Possible Restart

Actually, if this is something like a Doppleganger, it’s a monstrous humanoid and therefor Know: Nature, not Arcana. Cato’s also trained in that.

Editing

I edited Cato's post.  I changed the first word from "Consider" to "Cato".  I'm 99.9% sure that's what he meant to type.  So, if you see that I made an edit, that was it.  I didn't alter anything else.

Pisca thought it was better the other way.  I told her that it didn't make sense that way.  My argument did little to sway her opinion.

In reply to Pisca Neep Freemish (msg # 338):

Well, I thought about adding...

Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.

I thought that would sound lovely.

Pisca says that's dark.

And forbidding.

Full of desolation and despair.

And malevolence.  She's having me add malevolence as well.

Yeah, that's what I meant to type.  Full day of work while traveling makes my mind work a little more slowly than it otherwise would.

Re: Editing

I'm sorry for my slowness in posting, guys, but I'm dealing with a personal experience that has just sapped all the joy out of my life, so I'm finding it hard to do anything I actually enjoy.  Time heals all wounds, etc., but right now it's still pretty fresh.  I'll do my best but if the quality is substandard now you know why.

Re: Editing

Ugh, sorry.  It's been a tough week.  My grandma is in hospice care now, and I just took a whirlwind trip to Florida to see her, not at all helped by the fact that it took me almost 10 hours to get home instead of 2 thanks to all the thunderstorms in DC last night.  At least I got a nice tour of the Richmond and Norfolk airports out of the bargain!

Re: Editing

Though, I think we're pretty much dealing with a Roleplaying situation as things stand right now.  We should be able to keep things rolling for a bit with that.

From what I can see we have two issues to deal with here.

1) Do we kill or not?  And how does each of our characters deal with the decision either way.
2) How do we dispose of the bodies?  Or do we even bother?  And why do we choose a particular way.

Re: Editing

In reply to Kellan Storval (msg # 351):

Well, nothing better to jump back to the game than a discussion about disposing of aberrant humanoid shapechangers.

Yeah, I was thinking of something to counter Pisca's argument.  While I think Cato is perfectly content to kill intelligent creatures that oppose his goals and threaten those things he holds dear, killing enemies and then disposing of their bodies seems like a step too far.  Though that still leaves the interesting question of what exactly to do.
