Re: Possible Restart

I could see it, it would give Racon a break to recharge but also keep him playing with us, which would be nice.

Re: Possible Restart

I was thinking about this a bit.  How much should I skip over things like your visit to the Sword & Anvil and Hungry Wolf Sundries and just give you a narrative that skips ahead to the action?  Not sure how interested you guys are in that kind of stuff.

Re: Possible Restart

A solid jump back into the meat of the story would probably be a good call I think. To start building that momentum again, and then we can always come back to the more low key RP after we are back on track.

I can go either way of course.

In reply to The Raconteur (msg # 233):

I'm all for skipping over the shopping trick and jumping straight into the action.

I also think giving Racon a break DM'ing is a pretty good idea.

I too wouldn't mind skipping the RP of the shopping.  If we do, however, how do you want to handle the acquisition of new equipment?

I'll just write in that you arranged to purchase your authorized equipment from Arwick.

Have I already made rulings on the availability of everyone's desired equipment purchases?

Re: Possible Restart

That might be a good place to start.  Instead of combing through the threads for this, why don't we submit equipment additions again and have you rule on them now as well?

Re: Possible Restart

Well, I'll just go back and figure out what I already said anyway, lol, but sure.  But if there is something you don't recall me ruling on then let me know here and I'll work it into my get-back-into-it post on Monday.

That option is definitely on the table.  I think I'll go do some spring cleaning in there just in case.

I don't recall; but I think I wanted a Mithril Heavy Shield (+1 if available) and/or a Headband of Charisma.  I tried searching for where I mentioned this but can't find it.

Re: Possible Restart

I've found this:
The Raconteur: Book 2, Chapter #4:  Magnimar Msg 32:
The halfling had similar news for Pisca; he actually had Muleback Cords on hand, and he could find her a Wand of Mage Armor inside of a week.  But the Circlet of Persuasion, he informed her sadly, was (to his knowledge) not available in the city.  At least at this time.  But he promised her to keep an eye out for one.

Muleback Chords for certain.
No Circlet of Persuassion for certain.
Wand of Mage Armor maybe?

Since the Circlet of Persuasion is a no go, could you rule on these items, please.

Boots of Striding and Springing: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-...riding-and-springing
Slippers of Spider Climbing: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-...s-of-spider-climbing

If you rule that both are alright, I will, of course, only be choosing one of them.

Re: Possible Restart

Liseth and Pisca,

The Boots, Slippers, Circlet, and Shield are all available in Magnimar.  What kind of funds do you have?  You may need to decide what you wish to purchase.

Does anyone else have a magic item availability question?

Wait, do you mean that the Circlet of Persuasion is available after all?  Or are you referring to Liseth's Headband of Charisma?

Still working on my post.  It will be up this evening!  Did not get to work on it on the plane, which foiled my initial plan, but Plan B is well underway.

Racon:

I seem to recall that the way we were handling funds was to simply put our wealth at the expected 16,000 for PCs at our level once we made it to 6.  As a way to get around the hassle of tallying up the treasure from Foxglove's Manor.  Then calculate the value of the magic items we already had and use the difference to purchase new ones.

Did I have this correct as anyone else recollects?  Or am I sailing on a different ship entirely?
