Re: OOC Thread #10:  Commandments

Here's the post.  This thread.

Pisca Neep Freemish msg 72:
I'm going to experiment with UMD.  Gold at this level will be invested in Muleback Cords (having nothing to do with UMD), a wand of Mage Armor, and a Circlet of Persuasion.  With the Circlet, she should be pretty close to hitting the 20 for activating a wand every time.

So ...

Muleback Cords
Wand of Mage Armor
Circlet of Persuasion

And, maybe, with the addition of Muleback Cords, a longspear.

Re: OOC Thread #10:  Commandments

I am so sorry that I was away for so long.  All Summer, really...

The last few months have been an event, let me tell you.  Moving to a new city, starting at the University.  I had to pack up my house and put everything in storage; then move everything into an UPSTAIRS apartment.  I'm still trying to get everything organized; I might just be forced to keep some boxes of things in a few closets.

Also, a desk fell on me during the move.  That was less than fun.

Anyway, everything has settled down into a routine, finally.  Classes are going well but I am having to get used to being surrounded by teenagers.  Thousands of them.  It really feels weird, like being the adult taking classes in high school.  It's kind of sad to see all these kids treat it like high school minus their parents too.  But I guess I'm a little lucky that most people think me a lot younger than I actually am.  At least I look like I belong.

So, I have some reading to do in order to catch up.  I am so sorry...again...about being gone for so long.  I will try to update between classes tomorrow, during the weekend at the latest.

Sorry...

Going to school when I bit older than everyone else is an adventure, Liseth. Enjoy it. Last time my wife was in school we were old enough to BE the parents. It made for an interesting dynamic.  Have fun!

Thanks everyone.  I need to get back into my stride with Runelords.  I'm looking back through my files and I don't think I ever even entered my information for level 6...we did get to level 6, didn't we?

And there's the conversation about magical items.  Did we have gold to buy things individually?  I'm not sure what I would want...maybe a lighter (mithril) shield to complement my armor...or a headband of Charisma just to boost all my abilities.

Yes.  We're Level 6.  And we have the standard wealth of an L6 character.  So, figure what you've got already and that's what you have for purchasing power.

Is that right, Racon?

If there's no Circlet of Persuassion, might there be ...

Claws of the Ice Bear
Gloves of Reconnaissance

Oof, I spent 14 hours over the last three days doing physics problems for homework.  Some of them I had to beat over the head with math until the numbers worked.  Checking answers and calculations.

Then I come to class with the completed homework and not only is everyone talking about the assignment, but they all have the wrong answers!  They're trying to convince me that they have it right, when I had already discounted their solution as impossible by checking my own work.  And since no one else arrived at the answer I had after hours of number crunching and assessment, THEY think I'M wrong.

Lousy teenagers, there's no way to convince them that arriving at a quick, simple solution in physics is so often wrong.

I'm going to post later tonight, sorry for the delay!

Ugh!  I got home from classes today and find my dog missing.  My roommate left the front door open after taking a walk, and my dog decided to follow without them ever noticing.  They didn't know he was gone until I got home and asked where my dog was!

This whole mess cost me 3 hours, a trip to the animal shelter, $100 paid with my student loans, and my faith in my roommate's competence.  Now how am I supposed to go to class in the morning when I'm worried they'll let the dog out again?

You definitely shouldn't dress your dog in clothes and bring it to class, pretending it's your very hairy younger sibling.
