Re: New OOC
Whoo, looks like our IC one is nearing 1,000, too.  I guess after we finish at the haunted castle, it'll be time to start a new thread for the new chapter.

And 2000, congrats to everyone.  THis has turned into a great game that I look forward to reading every day.  Hope it keeps going on for a several thousand more posts.

Re: New OOC
Won't be able to level up until tomorrow, I am having to work off of my phone. I started trying to find some NEXT rules online and found something called next index and it is very different from the last playtest package. It seems that on this index you have paths that have little variation.  Makes me very interested on seeing what the final rulings are going to be.  Has anime else looked at some of the new content.

Re: New OOC
I'll take it!

Also pretty amazing that ability score adjustments are 2. 2 i none ability or 1 in two abilities.

Re: New OOC
I'm all updated.  Yeah, the +2 to stats is great, especially since we already have a feat through our magic equipment.

Re: New OOC
Thanks for the link.  Yeah, we need to go NE, and hopefully find a crossing near Ringwood.  If we end up in Westminster, we'll be pretty far off track.

Re: New OOC
It looks like we are going to be tracking rations, healing supplies and repair kits for this part of the game, so do you want to write down what you have somewhere.

In reply to GM (msg # 11):

We should have a running tab, in each GM post I think.  Otherwise it will be easy to lose track of it.

Re: New OOC
In reply to Rick (msg # 12):

Or a small link in each post to the GAME WIKI, which anyone can edit, and which can track each supply type? I'll try and set that up now. I favour methods that involve the PCs in doing the work!

EDIT: click game wiki link in top right - all PCs should be able to edit this.

Re: New OOC
And now the decisions.  I like the +2 to stat but I am looking at the TOugh feat (+2 hp per level) or the Great Weapons Master Feat (addtion attack with a crit or fell a foe and can take -5 to attack to gain additional damage)

Hmmm. Choices Choices.

I like the game wiki. Looking at the size of this map, and we only move a hex or two a day, we definately need to get some pack mules.  I haven't seen anything in the rules about hiring hench men, do you think that is an option.  I am thinking to watch the horses and shine our boots.

Re: New OOC
Question: what would be a normal nature skill bonus for a pathfinder ranger of level 4/level 5? I need to convert the 'getting lost' DCs from pathfinder to d&d next.

Re: New OOC
I am not sure which nature you mean.  Is it Knowledge Nature (int) or would it be survival (wis).

All the rangers I have played usually have decent wisdom (+2 or +3 mod) and normal inteligence (+0 or +1).  Survival and nature is usually close to maxed out (if you are not god modding and actually playing a character) which would put it at +6ish for level 4/5 then add the int/wis mod bonus. So you can safely say a bonus of 8 is not out of the question for a ranger.

A question for DM:  How much knowledge do we have of the world/region/land.  There is no geography skill or anything like such.  Or are we all just country bumpkins who may of heard of a large town in a far off land.
