Yeah, I'm up for following the spiders.  Although I think it might lead to a battle with all the spiders and Sheeltielle, we might also avoid unnecessary combat.

I don't think Intimidate will be the way to go.  When it's time, Conrad can start convincing with his mighty +4 to persuade.

Ruby had Makal's intentions correct.  The cleric was trying to gauge the spider's reactions to what he had originally said.

Looks like persuasion roll #2 isn't going to pass, even with a bunch of aid.  I hope you kept your weapons sharp.

At least we won't drop any weapons, since we were busy talking instead of fighting.

Re: OOC Thread 2
So I have no idea how the original GM thought this module was in any way short.

I am combining three missions into one so we can get on with it. Just a heads up. So some of what I have done isn't cannon but fits to move this along for time sake.

Everyone cool with that?

Re: OOC Thread 2
It is always short looking back after the modules are done.  I am fine with combining but also I am fine with running it regularly.  I think we have a steady group in this one with interest.  I do understand about wanting to move modules along, sometimes they can draw out with side missions.

In reply to Delmedus (msg # 108):

Yeah that is the issue with this one. Side missions galore. Meta gaming here but this portion of the module is wrought with side missions. Some are tedious and others fun. So I have been setting up a few to be completed in only a couple of side missions instead of so many. I think it best this way. Otherwise we'd be doing this for a really long time and this part could become a bit cumbersome post by post. A home game I can see for sure.

We do have a superb group. Love you guys for sticking through it. Very fun for me an hopefully you too.

Re: OOC Thread 2
Yeah, I've been enjoying the game, but I trust your judgement.  If you think a part is tedious an ultimately not fun to run or play through, we can combine things.

Re: OOC Thread 2
Yeah, too many side missions is tougher in PBP when one takes a couple of months instead of a session. I'm good with keeping on as we've been doing.

But that's Ruby gave a bit of eyeroll :)

Agreed. I will say though that you have found a way to make a ranger SUPER strong on attacks.

We are in act two and near the end. Act three is shorter and very dragon..y.

Re: OOC Thread 2
Yeah, he's pretty tough and seems to do pretty well.  Having 4 attacks a turn with decent damage and attack is working out.

One thing I realized too late, though, is that 5e makes it super easy to do dex-based melee.  Instead of splitting my high stats between both str and dex, I should've dumped str and used those points better.  Also, spells don't really fit his concept and I don't use them as much as I should.

Where are we on loot?

Since the last OOC thread went over 1000 posts, it's not searchable :(

Re: OOC Thread 2
Nevermind, I found it. I think this was the end of the shopping. So we have ~$1,000 available for shopping. I'm pretty well kitted out.

quote:
Delmedus:
So what is the remaining funds and can we max out everyones armor and/or weapons with what we have?

$2,530

-$250 Driftglobe (Party)
-$150 Silver Raven (Ruby/Party)
-$100 Eyes of the Eagle (Conrad)
-$200 +1 Warhammer (Ruby)
-$750 Halfplate (Makal)
_______
$1,080

So we still a have quite a bit of cash, even after maxing out Makal to half-plate.

I also had a line on a Ring of Warmth for $175. I wasn't concerned about it, but it's a good price while we have the offer and the cash. That would leave $905.

Anybody else need an armor upgrade?

Very sorry guys! I have been working crazy hours last week and even this weekend. Was up until 1:30 AM this morning even.

Anyway, I should be able to get back on track.

Well those init's sucked.  All right Makel, roll a great Charisma check and talk your way out of this one too.  be sure to pick the mushroom off its head so we can cook that up later.
