Subject of Discussion: Power Stunts
in various posts, some of you have mentioned the concept of "Power Stunts", and I would like to get your thoughts on the idea, and how we should do it.

A Power Stunt, in my mind, is a use of a power in a set way, like Spider Man making a web Parachute, or even something like Colossus and Wolverine working out a tactic like the "Fastball Special".

I think these should be balanced in that they take practice (in game time training) to develop, and would give a bonus of some sort, but also usually would be a move that requires something (additional power cost, time to set up, etc.)

What do you guys think? Are you ok with including the concept, and if so, how would you like to do it?

Re: Subject of Discussion: Power Stunts
I think the whole concept should be flexible, and subject to GM fiat.

Re: Subject of Discussion: Power Stunts
From my (limited) understanding, players can define a power stunt with a GM, then roll Invention % roll and spend an Invention Point.  If the GM says whatever power stunt seemed reasonable, the player can get it if they make that roll.

Power Stunts are 'unique' ways to use your hero's powers, not equivalent to new full powers.

They could be limited by time (ie 1 month 'do nothing in-game' or 2 months 'stay in-game').

Another option could be gaining Power Stunts in training -- ie when leveling up, heroes get a bonus of some sort (besides HIT / Def bonuses built into levels, plus many powers improve w/levels).
