Apologizes for not posting for awhile, but I fell off the page due to having the flu for the past three weeks and I just did not have the energy or brain power to think straight or be creative.

I kept meaning to post here but it just kept slipping away.

Hope everyone is still around as I get back on track.

When Marian is released she'll head with Rosabelle to try to help the others with the gun, but I don't want to officially post that until she's actually released. Just don't want you thinking I'm not here :)

Sorry it took me so long to post. I didn't realize that we had arrived until I went back and re-read things. Hopefully I didn't overlook anything. I've been really distracted lately with cat health drama. I thought we were going to have to put her down over the weekend but she seems to be hanging on for now. I might have a few more months with her at least ;)

I'm so sorry to hear that! It's terrible when something is wrong with our pets.

I replied as well. I'm hoping I remembered Marian's attire correctly, that she is in trousers or at least not full skirts. If I'm wrong, I can edit my post.

Rosabelle Descant Tinker-Plumist:
She looks up at the airship hovering to one side of the tent, seeing Thorn perched where she'd sent him, and suddenly gasps, slapping her hand over her eyes. Good gracious! What have I done? I did not even think beyond sending Thorn to safety, but your comrades aboard the ship would have had no idea where he came from or who sent him. I am surprised that they have not attempted to contain or destroy him.

Marian, while we wait, will you call up to your friends aboard the ship and inform them that Thorn will not do anything to cause them harm?

As they watch, a shadow separates from the dirigible, close to the window where Rosabelle can see her clockwork.  As the shadow approaches and grows larger, a sound is heard; a sound very much like...someone screaming...

"Lord Jesus Christ Save Me-e-e-e-e-e-e-e. . ."

!!WHOMP!!

In a small explosion of dust, a man lands face down in the turf at your feet.  After just a moment, he raises his bruised and battered face to you the three of you a bloody, gap-toothed smile...

It's Dash.

"G'mernin, Ladies! Gimme m'nute, ah'll be ri'at'cher servish. Juss needa lil nap..."

And he drops his face back into the dirt.

Actually, I'm hoping this isn't what happens ^_^

We've lost our two cats... one last year on the 4th of July and one the year before. Both were old.

Miss Kitty, the first one to go, started escaping outside. We thought she was looking for some place to die, but she always came back... probably cause this was where the food was. She was acting weak and lethargic. And then one day, when we woke up, we found her dead in the foyer.

Ralphie was also acting strange when his time was due. He kept jumping up into the washer even though he was also getting weak and lethargic. Then we found him dead in the litter box.

But we got a new kittie! December 7th. We found him in the middle of the street at a busy intersection. He was only 7 weeks old at the time, and was dodging traffic. Not sure he would have lasted very long if we hadn't rescued him. He's a butterscotch mackerel tabby. We named him Dodger.

He's a holy terror still--claws and bites hands, arms and ankles a lot! We got a harness for him the other day, and took him out on his leash for the first time today. It's because when we took the dog out, he'd sit on screened-in porch and meow--'I want to go, too!' He didn't like being left out.

So, Marian, I certainly sympathize with your cat health problems. Enjoy her as long as you can.

Sorry to hear of everyone's cat sadnesses. We're lucky because our current two are still circa 8 years old, so we've got a while before we have to deal with the inevitable.

My family lost 3 cats and gained three cats this spring, a very traumatic experience. However, our new cats are much younger so, as you say, hopefully we have a long time before the new ones must go. At this point we only have one older cat (going on 15 years) and four younger ones.

Wow, I didn't realize I hadn't responded to all these yet! My apologies! The last few weeks have been really something else. So basically my old kitty Misha has kidney failure. We have her on potassium supplements and iv fluids that we have to give her twice a week (gives me the heebie jeebies sticking that massive needle in her) but she's doing well and is even really mobile thanks to this huge ugly ramp we have that enables her to get around. She seems happy but they said when she goes it will probably be fast so I'm trying to brace myself.

I'm so sorry to hear about all the other kitties everyone has lost! It sucks right? Especially when they are like part of your family, so thanks so much for everyone's understanding! And GM, I think Dodger is the most brilliant name you could think of for your new cat!

So, now that the cat situation is starting to normalize finally, unfortunately my 7 year old nephew was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes so that's been really crappy too. It's my twin's boy, so it hits even closer to home for me since I'm extremely close to them and she and her husband have been complete wrecks during this. So that's what happened LAST week. I should be normalizing now though, provided nothing else horrible happens, and I'll be back to my old rate of posting I think. Geez, life am I right?

Anywho, thanks so much for everyone's patience. You guys are awesome!

Thanks guys! I'm sure after the transition of all this massive change, everyone will be able to handle it better. It's still way better than cancer or all the other things that children can be afflicted with, so that's something! I'm sure in a couple months they'll have a routine down and that always helps.

I was thinking that the poison-in-the-tooth trick was real, but only in the WW2 period, but while trying to research this online, I came across an article arguing that there never was a poison hidden in a tooth, though there were poison pills briefly concealed in peoples' mouths and bitten to release the poison. https://www.atlasobscura.com/a...de-tooth-is-not-real

True, but other Vril agents have appeared to kill themselves in that manner.  Maybe, as you say, they just had a capsule hidden in their cheek, or they do have some kind of orthodontic appliance they can trigger to dose them with poison, I dunno.  But Vril prisoners in the past have suddenly bitten down on pills and had their brains erased.  Dash is just assuming it's hidden in a tooth.

And hopefully he cannot bite on or swallow a poison pill, wherever it might be concealed in his mouth.
