Re: Friends, Enemies, and Mrs. Bently...
Penny was disgusted and infuriated to realise that the fake Ian had been with them all that time, pretending to be a friend and ally, fighting alongside them. This impostor had done a much better job of impersonating Ian than the alpha had done of Westbrook. No doubt he'd been plotting to rescue his master, this alpha shifter, but first had to get Lily away. The alpha had brazenly lied about there being no other agents, right to her face, and she'd not spotted the deceit. How long had it been since Ian was replaced? Recently? Since the beginning? Penny felt hurt, especially because this monster had kidnapped a dear friend into the bargain. 'We must hope that Ian will turn up alive and well very soon, that the shifter did not have the opportunity to... finish him.' she surmised softly, reluctantly. 'We must report back to Miss Green immediately, and inform her of his latest development. As we were about to do previously.'
After Lily departed, Penny was shocked to see Castiel's weak and wounded condition. She'd never expected to see an angel so hurt, to be anything less than perfect. But then, Castiel did seem an appropriately humble fellow. 'My goodness,' she exclaimed, stepping over to offer support. 'You must let me treat you, if no one else. After you healed Kate and I, it is the least I can do.' Since then, she had been thrown into a wall by demons several times, but it seemed churlish to beg for divine healing now, with Castiel in this state.
'Now, the case is...' Penny caught herself, looked again at Castiel with fresh and wary eyes, 'In a safe place. As is the head.' Currently in the hands of Western Union, in fact. 'We still need the rest of the body before can reassemble them, of course.'
OOC: We didn't decide what to do with the case containing the soul. Kate had been carrying it previously, but I imagine we found a more secure hiding place. Either we left it in one of our hotel rooms (Belial got a fake) or let it move around with Western Union, as Penny proposed to do with the head.
