Ha ha! Those are funny! And Jo are you referencing IT crowd? It's one of our FAVORITE shows! I highly recommend it to anyone, computer savvy or not. He says it's disturbingly accurate.

Josephine Hartley:
Is there an "aid another" action in this game, where I roll a basic DC 10 or something attack, and instead of attacking, I grant him a +2 or something?

Penny would make a strange Gollum. :)

By the way, the British Men of Letters we're now seeing in Season 12 is most definitely not the organisation Penny would have founded.

Re: ooc: volume 2

I have done a lot of research into The Key of Solomon. Christians did not like the books (the greater and lesser?) but most scholars agree that the ring protected Solomon from the evil of the demons, and the key (instructions) gave the necessary calling and control. I don't care if Artemis wants to use the Muslim combined view, that is cool, I just thought I would put out what I learned.

Re: ooc: volume 2

Interesting! In truth I'm just taking a lot of creative license with it so it works on a playing level but I love hearing details about that sort of thing.

And Penny, I'm once again a season behind. Sadness :( but I think the men of letters are the antagonists right? How is this season doing by the way? Good I hope?

Avoiding spoilers... Individual stories are like normal, some good, some meh. I don't think there's been anything that really stood out though, unfortunately. As for the season plot, after the Darkness of last season, the current one is basically a filler season, as they tend to do after every big-bad plotline. More heaven/hell politics, really. It's a bit chop-and-change: they set up one thing as a big threat, then it gets cut short, and something else gets set up as a threat. The British Men of Letters flip-flop between helpful and villainous. There's a lot of wasted opportunities, like:

Minor spoiler:

Lucifer as President could have been magnificent as a satire of US politics and Trump in particular, but it was begun, won, and done in a single episode and nothing was done with the concept.

An angry hyperbolic rant from one member of an oppressed minority thirty years ago doesn't actually mean anything. It's really only to be expected. Every group lets off steam like that.

Re: ooc: volume 2

Meh. I have a gay Facebook friend and have seen my science fiction and fantasy club expand into the de facto queer club on campus. I know they'd only laugh at that old bit of nonsense. I've seen the issues they talk about it, and there's no militant gay agenda bar maybe a few nuts. That none of that has come to pass only proves it.
