Re: ooc: volume 2

Next week I have both an MRI and a Job interview on Wednesday. The interview is first. Its my first interview in 2 years. I would appreciate your wishes of luck and prayers on both fronts. Thanks my friends.

Wish I could help you with diplomacy here, as that's my specialty, but Jo hasn't the faintest idea where the conversation has gone, haha.

Given my situation today, I will not be likely to post. My interview went wonderfully, but I am always wondering if I got the job or not. I don't know yet. We will see.

Re: ooc: volume 2

Ok guys, I'm fairly new to the system, but I read up on aiding another with skills, and it seems like if I roll a 10 on a diplomacy check, I can help Simon out with his dealing with the woman.

The thing is, my character is BUILT around diplomacy, and sure enough when I rolled my check, I rolled a 40. I'm not sure if I should take Jo in a different direction, and step in to do the diplomacy herself, and have Simon help her (a 42 would be one heck of a success, I'd think, right?) or if I should stay in the background and continue aiding another.

Help? Tips? I REALLY don't want to step on Father Simon's toes, if that can be avoided.

That being said, Josephine spoke to you in private, not in the open. Just to be clear. If you want to run away from me when I approach you, that's an option however :)

Re: ooc: volume 2

Simon would not allow her to be in total privacy with him. Remember he is an Orthodox Priest who has chosen the woman he will marry. being totally alone with any other woman is just not something he will allow. Sorry.

If you are a total Diplomacy build out, then I would suggest you accompany Simon and just make the roll. Let the GM decide whose roll is used to "aid another." Simon often falls into the aid another roll, so I am good with him in that role here, though Emma specifically requested to see only him. I am not making an exception to the above, so if Jo doesn't come with him he will take some random person from the group, probably Victoria, as a chaperon.

Re: ooc: volume 2

So Simon is never alone? At all?

Alright, in that case, I suppose Josephine wouldn't be able to walk towards him and speak to him privately. I just didn't expect that level of... I don't know what to call it.

So I guess I'll keep Jo out of his hair then, no worries! I'm sure she'll find other ways to contribute in the future. Thanks for the input!

Edited my in-game post to reflect the changes I've discovered here.

Re: ooc: volume 2

Simon is alone at times. Lets say she came to the door of the closet he uses as a sleeping quarters. He would gladly speak with her, either in the hallway or perhaps in the confines of a confession. A confessional closet has a physical wall between them and that might provide her with what she is looking for. He would of course expect to take her confession as well. ;)

So, shall Simon take her confession? If so would you care to actually R/P it out?

Re: ooc: volume 2

If Simon slept in a closet, Jo would probably just come over, bang on it softly, get his attention, and start speaking.

Unless he shouted, "AIYEEE!" and sprinted out of there, she'd already have gotten her tips out.

Still, since you seem to want that to be impossible, I've already adjusted my post. Its not a big deal.

Artemis:
It is a man of about thirty in a bowler cap and vest, mildly good looking though a bit scruffy. He looks nothing like the Crowley you met in the future but then it would stand to reason he would have a different meat suit in your time.

Nope, too late, I'm picturing Mark Sheppard as Badger in Firefly. :D

Ha! I confess that is who I imagined while describing him. Just re watched that lovely show so couldn't help it. Also saw him in Leverage recently, gotta love Mark Sheppard!

Also, I am going to post for Penny real quick because of the time difference and that way you won't have to wait another day for me but the other two will get their posts later today. I have some unexpected stress that has me really on edge and I got very little sleep and though I will try to nap I doubt I'll get much more. Still gotta try though! ;P

Oh, don't worry about me. I post when I have time, but don't mind waiting. With a one-on-one conversation going, I tried to squeeze out an extra line to speed it up.

I hope there's nothing going terribly wrong. Take it easy.

Re: ooc: volume 2

lol, I'll remember that Jo.... ;P

Thanks Penny! Yeah, my neighbors ran some teens off my property twice now and they seemed like they were going to break in so I'm kinda freaked out. I'm home alone all day and the fact that they are targeting my house specifically makes me edgy. I have a split level house so it's far too easy to break into. I just bought a heavy metal pipe and some mace and a guy is coming in to go over security systems tomorrow but I slept like crap and it's been throwing my schedule off majorly which I despise. I left a no trespassing sign and a semi snarky note on the fence for them in the meantime but I'm pretty paranoid. Maybe it's just dumb kids but a break in is a break in no matter how old they are and frankly I don't trust teenagers these days. At least the police station is only three blocks away...

So that said I may not have a chance to post today, my utmost apologies! All my subsequent errands and lack of sleep have thrown me off.

Re: ooc: volume 2

Something one of my girlfriends did in a similar situation, was she purchased a black gun (a children's toy) and cut the orange nose off. She waved it around when she saw some kids trying to break into her garage, and they freaked out, running off. It made her feel better, because it wasn't actually dangerous, so it didn't raise her chances of getting into trouble, but it sure scared those punks off, haha :)
