Artemis before you resolve Pennyís save...

Penny you are really close. You can spend an action point to add 2d6 to that roll. Even if they are average, it would make the roll a 17 which would be a pass. Just consider it because getting that scroll could change this whole encounter.

I forgot all about action points! I think I've barely used them in this campaign. Thanks!

Good thinking Alice! I keep forgetting about those too.

By the way, it's my anniversary on leap day so I'm going to be out pretty much until Tuesday, just a head's up! :)

Guys Iím home with kids for next two weeks, and I doubt I will be able to post much. Very sorry. Artemis, Alice will shoot at Yasmine, but only when she is sure it is Yasmine.

Re: Ooc: Volume 3
No worries, I understand. It's kind of crazy everywhere now anyway. Did your kids' school get cancelled? The virus is in my city/state so they've closed down all schools for at LEAST a month. There are tp shortages and businesses closing and all kinds of crap going on. It's a real mess. I'll probably still post for Penny and NPC Alice, but I may just do it 1-2 times a week until things settle down. Thanks for letting me know and stay healthy everyone!

No worries here, stay healthy, happy, clean, and several feet apart everyone!

We've had similar chaos, but I guess it's the same around the world. But schools are still open here. My sister's a teacher, with two small kids, so she's worried, and she stresses too much as it is. :(

Re: Ooc: Volume 3
Thanks. I'll try to get my energy up to post tomorrow. I'm feeling pretty blah over everything. I just found out my sister and brother in law are pretty screwed from all of this. He worked his butt of to open an audiology clinic a couple years ago and was fiiiiiiinally starting to see profits. They are even almost done building a house. Now he has to close his business until this is all over since his patients are typically over 60 and it's high risk to them. So he has to try to find work stocking shelves at safeway and their house is probably going to have to be sold before they can ever move in. I'm really stressed for them. It totally sucks.

Also, your sister is unfortunately right to be worried. My mother in law is a teacher and was told it's quite likely our schools will have to close for the rest of the school year.... Everything sucks!

Stay safe and healthy everyone. The wife and I are in self-isolation right now. Could affect my posting rate.

Re: Ooc: Volume 3
Thanks Colin. You too. Honestly, I'm a bit depressed right now. So many people are losing their jobs over all this and I'm really stressed about what that's going to do. There are so many people around here who will be in dire straights and though my husband's job should most likely be secure, I feel incredibly bad for everyone. It's hard to motivate myself right now. I think I'll try to pull myself together and post next week. Right now I'm just drained.

I don't know what to say. Take it easy, look after yourself and loved ones. I can wait. I think the only thing we can have now is patience.

Hey folks, just wanted to check in and let you know that my first kid was born last week. She is currently in the NICU and will be for awhile. Iíll try to stay active but obviously this has sapped a lot out of me. Iíll post when I can and keep folks updated. Thank you.

Wow, that's huge! I hope she gets out soon and major congratulations to you! Naturally I completely understand if you're hit and miss on here. That's the beauty of being in your own thread though. No one is waiting on you!

Man! I just got a ton of my grandpaís old sheet music today. Some is as old as 1880! I wouldnít be surprised if Pennyís song were in there somewhere!

So very cool!! Some songs are actually valuable, especially if the music is original printing.

Re: Ooc: Volume 3
Nice.

Could be. I looked up music-hall tunes from the era, found a list of them and something with wind in the title that could fit. But when I tried to find more about it, it turned out that was the only website on the internet that had it. So much old stuff is still not on the net, just on paper somewhere.

Re: Ooc: Volume 3
Itís true! Thereís still a ton of knowledge not available online. Thank goodness for books and things!

In other news, today there is an 80 percent chance my husband is going to quit his job. So thatís fun...
Weíll be ok though. We have savings and he has some mad skills in IT and cyber security so heíll figure out something else. I just need him to work someplace that isnít going to give him a heart attack in five years. His health is deplorable! Today he and his boss are going to HR to finally try to take down their director because heís a tool and he sucks. Should be interesting!

Iíll be posting later today.

Re: Ooc: Volume 3
Thanks! Yeah, itís been a hellish year. In January I sprained my ankle, February I think Australia had those wildfires and of course covid began overseas. Then march everything went on lockdown and my aunt got diagnosed with cancer, I think april is when the murder bees showed up. In MY state of course. Thank heavens itís not bad yet, end of May all the race stuff and now it very well could be jobless june! On top of that, my cat is going through her first heat and is driving me bananas! Haha! Wow, just, wow. Oh well, a lot of other people have it a lot worse.

On a happier note, do you guys realize that this fall will mark the 7th year we've been playing this? That's crazy! Poor Penny and Ian. Talk about a slow burn romance! Hahahaha!

Re: Ooc: Volume 3
Seven years! I think after this, Penny might have to move things forward. ;)

The bushfires hit their peak over December/January, and were finally stopped by February. But we can look forward to them again from September on. :(

I completely missed those murder hornets. That just shows how many crises we've had this year. Right now, the US police and army brutality is just so shocking. I'm afraid for all my friends in America.
