1st Interlude

You arrived at the outskirts of Galdion in the early afternoon.  Curved, patchwork clouds flew overhead breaking the sunlight into rivers and streams of light.  Even so the sun still glittered off the clear waters of the Crystal Sea and the smell of its spray was heavy on the ocean breeze which brought with it a strong chill.  Not the cold of the unnatural dark of the days before at least but still enough to evoke a few shivers from you as you walked along the worn stones of the road.
Your curious company received quite a few glances and some stares as you made your way through the hinterlands city.

Once within the city proper Willa lead the way, she claimed to know some shortcuts which would get the party to the guildhall faster and everyone was eager to take the load of their shoulders and put up their feet near a fire.
Some of the alleyways were so narrow that squeezing through them was an uncomfortable, and sometimes undignified experience though one stretch of Willa’s route took the party into Galdion’s Underground via a tunnel which looked to be an old and crumbling drain.  Down into the earth Willa stopped at a wall of almost white stone, its surface was as smooth and shimmering as that of glass and she put her hand to it.  The patch of the wall she touched lit up and a green ring appeared against the wall around her hand.  Two glowing, yellow diagrams appeared a little further up the wall and emerged as rounded cubes, upon four of their faces were large circular lenses.  Both these objects seemed to be made of some sort of luminous dust.  They flew around the party and Willa told everyone not to worry about them as the two golden cubes meet back at the place upon the wall from which the other had left and was apparently absorbed by it.  A few more green circles appeared upon the wall along with handprints belonging to each of the adventurers.  These shone for a moment then faded as a large circular opening formed in the wall, right before Willa, she was surprised as the doorway into the Underground had never been this large for her!  Pleasantly surprised she lead the party into the large corridors beyond, the white stone of the interior was very familiar to some of the adventurers and Willa seemed to know her way around the vast, empty underground space.  When Phelan asked how she could make sense of the maze of corridors Willa only responded with an incredulous look saying she was following the pretty lights.  Yet the only illumination was provided by long glowing stones built into the ceiling of the corridors.
What would have been a journey of several hours through the surface city’s busy streets was reduced to barely an hour as not far from the hall of the Adventurer’s Guild the part emerged from the Underground in much the same fashion they had entered it.  Moving through this section of the city during the mid afternoon was hardly difficult, especially with Willa’s help and before long the adventurers came to rest in the guild hall.

1st Interlude

It wasn’t long before the party was called to Akkorrin’s office and the Taskmaster seemed his usual drunken self.  His brows rose at the sight of Amare and his mouth twisted into a grimace as his only remark towards the black-eyed man a dull hmpf.  After which he began to ask the adventurers to tell their story, in full.
Over the next hour and half you told your tale, Akkorrin would often have you go over some parts of your story several times, asking short questions about this and that.  He was particularly interested to learn that you took on an entire daemon cult and managed to defeat its chief daemon.  He was very disturbed that such a cult had managed to survive for so long right under the nose of the Gravewatch though he had a far greater interest in the undead army which had attacked and sieged the necropolis of Nizamean.  He shared Phelan’s conclussion that the black clouds you had observed had somehow blocked magical communication and seemed to be alarmingly effective at capturing any messengers which had tried to escape the area.  Furthermore he wondered about the necro magus you were told about and the ehuron you had heard about from the villagers who had spoken for and seemed to have command over the undead.
After you had finished Akkorrin said that the Gravewatch might have their own questions for you though he would make sure to always be in attendance as well to make sure that you don’t get into any trouble.

1st Interlude

In the days that followed you recovered from your ordeals in Kyssea and tried to make peace with some of the horrors you been put through.  Jubei had asked Akkorrin if he could speak to the queen of Aria as he wanted to examine a rare scroll he claimed was in her majesty's possession, the Dragon’s Ode.   The taskmaster told Jubei that he would see what he could do and a few days later Jubei was granted an audience, not with the queen but with a doola tywuar sage who had spent the better part of his life studying the scroll, Amare had asked to join Jubei in speaking with this sage as Amare hoped that the ancient chronicle of the dragons would have some clue as to the precise whereabouts of his three kin.
Unfortunately neither Jubei nor Amare received the answers they were hoping for though the sage pointed out that perhaps the Queen’s Archive of one of the surviving dragon weyrs would hold information either hidden within or expunged from the Dragon’s Ode.  The sage knew of two weyrs on Aria which had survived the cataclysm though one was a small ruin which had been raided by thieves over the ages and had for the most part collapsed in upon itself, and was located near the city of a Alasdair to the south.  The other was an almost pristine weyr still maintained by the automata made by the narayah in service to the dragons instead of the dragons usual living thralls.  This weyr was located in the Silver Mountains near Tolyn on the other side of the island from Galdion
Alasdair could be reached by ship from Galdion within a day, while Tolyn would take over a week on foot or a few days by boat, though very few ships would travel the shortest route to Tolyn due to the superstitions surrounding the area around Vayshore not to mention the water and weather were notoriously treacherous so close to the great storm at the heart of the isles.
The sage also said he had heard that a group of narayan scholars had set out on an expedition to the weyr near Tolyn to acquire answers about their own missing kin, supposedly a small force of the kingdom's own soldiers had joined them to keep them safe from any bandits or savages which were not uncommon in the Silver Mountains.

Drex had sought out the local clergy of the Aurelian Pantheon to learn what he could about the enigmatic nature of Amare.  The priests knew nothing themselves of Amare or his kin though they pointed out if the beings he sought were so ancient they would not have Arcadian names, that in and of itself was some clue suggesting the names were meaningful in some way.  Amare’s own name was related to love, while the others meant life, sea and sky.  Though what exactly this was meant to signify the priests could only guess though they warned Drex to be cautious of any entity with connection to the Far Gods and the priests said they would ask the Aurelians for any information they possessed on Amare and those he sought.

1st Interlude

It did not take long for Akkorrin to catch wind of Jubei's quest and considering the guild did not have any assignments for the adventurers the taskmaster considered it prudent for the party to go on their own adventure into the perilous region of the Silver Mountains.  Though he added he would like you to take along a new member of the guild Keela.

[Keela this would be a wonderful opportunity to introduce your character to the group so please make a post responding to this one describing your character to the players.  Also the rest of your feel free to make answering posts to Keela's over the next day or two.]
