Warning: I'm having rather inconsistent weather from being hot (though not incredibly hot compared to some areas...), to sudden thunderstorms. This means if I'm at home and there's no thunderstorms, I'm focusing on my GM posts. NPC as needed.

The Guardian:
Zet just looks at Stanley when he says that, and Stanley gets the impression of Zet being immeasurably careful about how to reply.  Finally, with a palpably patient air, Zet shrugs and says, "We're fine."

Incidentally, it was about this time that I realized that Zet was being played by Tommy Lee Jones. :D

Traveller, you could always let yourself get captured and win story points for it.

Re: OOC (Clarifications, Etc.: Second Incarnation)

Hey GM, how much about Daleks -does- Sereth know?

Specifically: Does he know about the robo-zombies from Dalek Invasion of Earth? From what I recall, they haven't really been mentioned since, but it seems possible he might think of them at this point; if he'd heard of them. (The 26th century in the classic series is like the 51st century in the modern - everything seems to happen then.)

Re: OOC (Clarifications, Etc.: Second Incarnation)

Robo-men seem to have become the Dalek-ized slaves in Asylum of the Daleks and later stories. Which implies those guys with Dalek eyestalks on their helmets in Resurrection of the Daleks were related.

Hm.  If you want, you can roll Ingenuity + Knowledge to get your general level of Dalek lore.  This robotization schtick seems to be a thing they come up with occasional variations on (way more often than DIoE if you roll in the vague amalgamation of non-TV media) and is probably no more obscure than what Tricky would give you.

And in fact since you brought it up I'll give you that bit as a freebie, but the roll would still be handy for other things.

Re: OOC (Clarifications, Etc.: Second Incarnation)

... like much of Season 7a; I've blocked Asylum of the Daleks from my memory.

I didn't really dislike the Amy/Rory years; but I was pretty horrified by their write-out.

Re: OOC (Clarifications, Etc.: Second Incarnation)

I skipped 7a, but Asylum was repeated recently. I mainly watched it for Clara.

People turning into Daleks, corpses turning into Cybermen... I really wish they would stop this thing of nanites spontaneously turning people into metal-clad monsters. They're not Borg! And where do they get all the metal from?

The Borg -wish- they were Cybermen. At least old-style Cybermen; new series ones haven't scared me.
