Village of Stars (Lenelle, Ostroga)

It had been several days since the pirates had attacked the ship. All had fought bravely and the pirates were driven off but the ship sustained so much damage that it soon was floundering and the handful of survivors from the pirate attack were lucky to make it onto the dingy and even luckier that they were not very far out to sea.

Ostroga, the captain of the attacked vessel, did not go down with his ship, instead me piloted the small craft the survivors piled into. The small sail was not much but he was a skilled sailor and now they found themselves in the harbor not far from the village of Stars on the Scythian coast.

The small harbor and fishing village already seemed to have another ship in it but as you get closer you see that the ship has been burned and is only afloat by it's moorings.

Re: Village of Stars (Lenelle, Ostroga)

This was something of a change of fortunes for Lenelle...

Not so long ago, she'd been traveling Gadirea, with a pair of andadmen. There, she'd become embroiled in the effort to save the villa of Iceford from the eerie Chimera, and the twisted cultists responsible for loosing the misunderstood creature.  After, she'd set sail with Ostroga, who had been another member of the group whom had  gathered at the Eagle's Casque, in Kabir.

So, she'd left Atlantis behind, and sailed toward the shore of another land.  Europa...a place Lenelle had visited previously, home to the gods that she served.  This time, however, she was far from the civilization of Tharshesh. And Scythia's more barbaric territory was all new to her.

She did find herself missing her andaman companions; the fierce Ocelotl, and wily Demosthenes.  But reckoned that the rugged, well-built, and enterprising Ostroga was a good trade.   And the Village of Stars was a lovely sounding name, however the place might prove to be.

As they neared the other ship, she eyed the fire damage, and wondered what might have been the reason for it.

Re: Village of Stars (Lenelle, Ostroga)

The goddesses of fate have dealt Diomedes a losing hand as of late and this latest misadventure against the pirates was just about the last straw. He loved Ostroga like a brother and would follow him to Hell if need be but this time they were lucky to have made it to land in their small leaky boat.

At least some of them made it, others were lost to the sea or the pirates. He was happy to see the woman, Lenelle had made it, she was one of Ostroga's friends from back in Gadiria if he was not mistaken.

As they approached the smoking hull of the boat at the dock he gulped as the ship looked quite familiar to him. Was it the ship of his old friend and fellow Hellene Ason?
