Though there are numerous sounds of scuffling feet and a few furtive breaths, for the most part silence and darkness reign over the next few moment. From the center of the room, there is a noise like chalk scraping against stone, and a soft, high-pitched whine. In an instant, like the dropping of a cloak, the darkness spell washes away, and though the light in the room is dim, it still cuts at the eyes for a moment as they adjust back. Now, in the center of the room, where there had been nothing before sits a creature no more than three feet in height though it's features are menacing.
Imp
The thing has features almost like a man, though with wiry arms and legs, too long and lean to be real, protruding from his torso. At the tips of his spindly hands protrude thin, white razors and atop his shoulders was a squat looking head with tall arcing ears and stubby goat-like horns. From his back sprout a set of wispy ineffectual wings. For all his awkward features however, the look set about the demon's face is a weave of comedy and horror, creating a sickening effect to all who look on.
All at once it seems, the students start casting their spells and spurts of flames intermingle with projectiles of earth and ice. Loke himself seems taken aback, and for the moment at least, still holds his spot in the room rather than casting his own weapon of choice. With a brief look around, the creature launches itself into the air off powerful legs, making it's way towards the two students closest to the door...
OOC: For those of you who have posted that you already started casting a spell it is now complete and ready to be launched. The downside is the close quarters means any sort of miss might mean disaster for some of the other students. Then again, they aren't from the house of soldiers, so you aren't really that close... I've put a rough combat map in the maps section (I'm totally useless at maps) but it should at least give you guys the idea of what is going on. Characters are denoted by the first three letters of their names and the rest should be mentioned in the 'legend'.
