As everyone is set, Kiro volunteers to be the first down, eager as he is to see the caves for himself. Rolf agrees, seeing as he would rather go down second than be left alone and exhausted in a potentially hostile place.
Gustav puts his crossbow and shield into Rolf's incredible bag, leaving only his weapons and his magical bracers on himself.
"Volant!" Rolf calls as everyone is set and Gustav hovers just slightly in the air before hooking his arms under Kiro and the two float down at the pace of a brisk jog towards the cave on the far wall of the cliff.
"Don't let go!" Kiro calls back as the two reach just over the middle of the chasm. Gustav looks down too, the center of the gulley seems to be crowded with scrub, and here and there he can see the glisten of running water snaking its way along the bottom.
It does not take long, maybe 30 seconds or so to reach the cave, which has a wide mouth for Gustav to try his first landing. It does not take too much effort, and Gustav sets Kiro down, unhooks the harness from around his waist and gets ready to launch himself again when Kiro notices something on the wall ahead.
"What in the hell is that?" Gustav looks up, and sees what Kiro is pointing at, a human skull which seems to be sunken into the wall as a sort of permanent fixture. A few more seconds and Gustav realizes that there are three of the skulls set on each wall of the cave.
Kiro ducks ahead almost to where the skulls are, peering on into the darkness of the cave ahead.
"It looks like it splits up!" Kiro says quietly, turning back towards Gustav.
"I don't see anything much there though, what'ya think those skulls are there for?"
OOC: This is Gustav's exclusive thread. Kiro has only stepped ahead about 3 yards to just where the skulls start and it seems that the cave splits up into three directions just as the outside light begins to dwindle. This quick investigation took about 10 seconds, and he has not touched anything yet. Note that normal posts are a minute of action. I will not be making that assumption. If you want to do something that takes a certain amount of time, please let me know how much time you want to take. Otherwise I'll try and use common sense. Though you the player know how fatiguing spellcasting is (and how that is directly related to spell upkeep) Gustav the character would likely not make quite the same connection, though Rolf made it clear he could only hold the spell "on" for 4 minutes.
