All, I just wanted to drop a quick note in to say that I'm still around.  I realize I have now been gone for nearly 5 months without so much as a word in the meantime but it has become apparent to me that it wasn't just the game that was stressing me out.  Especially now, in the middle of hockey season for my kids, I have nearly no time to myself.

I'm not sure when I'll have the time to start things up again here but things don't look good for the foreseeable future.  I'm starting a "work up" for our squadron, and we do a short redeployment in April.  when we get back we get right back into the grinder to get ready for a real deployment.  I'll check back in as I have the time and brain power for updates, no issues if by this point people feel like they need to move along.

Hope everyone is well and has managed to keep themselves engaged in my absense!

I have been flirting with the idea of trying to run a short GURPS Fantasy campaign in a custom setting that may last through Spring, with the potential for continuation should it go well.

But if we don't hear from you over the next few months because of the redeployment, that's alright - as others have said, I think everyone will still be here when it calms down for you. Sorry to hear life is all work and no play bro, but as all things this too shall pass.  Hopefully the memories of the stories we've told help you get through to the other side, and hopefully the other side is you can resume this outstanding game one day.

Glad to hear from you Raddek!  I hope your deployment goes well and is short in duration.  Myself and I'm sure just about everyone else will be here when you are able to come back and game.

That said I haven't been gaming much of late.  I've been busy too.

I'm around.  Looking forward to when this resumes, especially to see "The Great Escape" and "The Fugitive" play out.

I am truly humbled.  Here I thought I would be having a conversation with myself after everyone left after about 1.5 months of silence.  It seems instead that every single player has posted within 24 hours despite my horrific 5 month hiatus.  I can only hope that when I do have the time to write a few words down and start the game back up again, I'll be able to make it worth the wait.

Nothing 'horrific' about the hiatus at all.  You have a busy life and we all get that. Take all the guilt-free time you need. 5 months, 10 months, whatever. We know you'll be back and we'll be eager to resume our respective adventures.

I'm not at all surprised at the speed of the responses for this game.  It's a really great group of players and a superior GM.  I've been reading several of the threads on the changed features for the new Rpol, especially the reason some things were changed.  Mainly that certain things allowed some players to "game" the site for some odd advantage in games.  I suppose it does happen, but my immediate thought was "not anyone in the games I play in."

Anyway, I think I can speak for everyone here in that we are committed to this game.

Just as a personal aside, it might take me six months or more to get used to the new Rpol.  Bleh!

yes, I have been avoiding te new RPOL as well, the old one is comfortable and easy to read.

Magnus, I too would like to see what you are plaanning on...

I concur.  Your games are realistically plot driven and you dont pull punches.  If people die from their own choices, so be it.  That's a tantalizing challenge.  And your plots are super interesting, for example your time travel story for Judoc.  And, as its been said, you've been abundantly clear about your potentially long hiatus.
