Agreed, very creative way to have me fail our stealth roll.  It fits well into the culture gap and is a nice break from the tension.  Well played.

Very nice opening there for Chapter 32.  Excellent descriptions.  One question though, what year is it?  The Three Corners groups in January of 06.  Just wondering.

Still '05 for Judoc.  I had planned to fast forward him so that things didn't get too confusing, but he jumped at the opportunity for a swashbuckling adventure, so holding him where he was in time seemed to fit a little better.

Not a bad choice, but I'd have gone with this myself.

Oh, and not fussing, but a NSFW warning would have been nice.  :-)

I love lonely island.

I'd never seen Brooklyn 9-9 until recently, even though I thought it would be something I appreciated as  Andy Samburg is just hysterically funny.  I laughing myself silly during pilot episode, and thoughI don't think anything else in the first season has measured up to it, it's still a pretty quality show.

Brooklyn 99 was great!  And while the entire cast did an excellent job, I felt that Andre Braugher was the best.  Especially when you contrast the 99 role with his performance on Homicide : Life on the Streets.

Finn Razzel:
to survive a fight with someone twice your size, don't get hit.

Words that Runt lives by.  Great story there!

Re: OOC:  Everybody else

GURPS is a deadly system, so ya Runt my plays in my old age tend to revolve around not getting hit.  Thanks, I’m way excited to see where this story goes.

Priority went to the Caves group for tonight, sorry to those who haven't moved for a bit.  I'll try and start working through all the solo and small group threads tomorrow.  Runt, I think I'm ready to start moving you forward again soon, hopefully I'll avoid any continual stop/start when I do.

Not a problem.  That is one of the problems when two threads are so close in proximity and so close in time to each other.  It's like when you were trying to get Lisa integrated into the group.  The only difference is that there were npcs for her to interact with and activity to do.  With Runt, well it's 4 - 6 hours of one activity.  After all, did either of us need you to say "you've gotten another 1/8 inch through."

One question though, are they at least in the correct set of caves?  Not that I really expect an answer, lol.

They absolutely aren't.  I'm looking forward to the scene playing out when they do get there though :D.

Poor Macchus, I had such high hopes for him.  Oh well, can't be two places at once.  Unless you are Judoc of course.  ;-)

Aye poor macchus - I'm trying to figure out precisely how Giles would react.... whether his natural "we're not just going to slaughter a prisoner on the floor of a hut in the middle of a village" vs "Well he is a criminal and justice is to be handed out by X"

etc.

Yup. I’m intrigued in how the town is developing. NPCs with unclear motives makes it even spicier!

Yup, that thread in particular is the iceburg where 90% of the motivations and history just aren't visible from the surface.  I try really hard not to create complicated situations, but rather to have complicated (or maybe just fleshed out) NPCs that do what is natural for them.  In this particular case, it's lead to a lot of tension where Macchus is stuck in the middle.

As a sidenote - the kids just came back from a long stint and grandma's.  I'll try and keep things moving at a decent pace, but it may be a bit more hectic of a few days.

Aye, and I think in this case for Giles and Magnus - especially with the instant animosity from at least one of the "weird people, in assistance to Broskow" towards our friendly Minotaur.

I'm just considering this, but will write a post shortly :)

To your credit Raddek, the scene does feel "hefty", like there are important moving pieces and that our actions are the beginning of something important.

Just what you have in mind, I don't know, but I have a feeling I will be looking back later on and going "Ah, I see what he did there. Nice."

Might be time to go shopping...
