Re: BIG goblins

Arek hesitated for just a moment. Should he chase after the obviously (and justifably) hysterical children, or attend to the greviously wounded Felicia or Adia-Ny?
In the end need won out. Short legs retraced the steps of moments before towards Felicia. A mumbled prayer resulted in a soft glow about her abused body. Bones knitted and bruises faded in mere seconds, health partially returning to the young woman laying in the dirt.

Seeing Ronalt charging to his rescue, Adia-Ny forces himself to remain standing and even manages to go on the offensive once more.  Dodging a swing of the ogre's arm, he sidesteps, then drives the butt of his staff up into the opening provided.

Re: BIG goblins

Ronalt joins in the attack on teh ogre but does not help, his sword whistles past the ogre's back. Adia-Ny registers a good hit making the ogre stagger.  Perhaps put off by the blow, or by the death of its breathern, it misses the monk badly.  Yesil runs over to help and will close to hit soon.

Arek casts his spell and the unconcious mage's eye flutter open.  Though groggy it is clear she will live.

Elmo goes chasing after the boys shout for the to stop.

Meanwhile on the ground the demeted hobbit continues to attack the dead goblin, his sword piercing dead flesh at will, the other two goblins remain montionless.

OOC:  Ungrateful wretches….

bless +1 to hit, +1 saves for the group of three.

Ogre facing Ronalt dead
Ogre facing Yesil dead
Ogre facing Adia-Ny moderate wounds

Glad that Felicia was at least conscious Arek breathed a sigh of relief.
"Help Elmo chase after th' young'uns if y' can," he said turning towards the still raging battle.
Once more he found himself racing across the field, this time perhaps he'd be in time to prevent another from falling.

Re: BIG goblins

Through the red filled haze that caots the lenses of his eyes, Vestan realises the gobbo he was fighting had given up the ghost...literally.

He gets up, brushing himself down (carefully after all Gorebringer was still in his hand), mearing the blood spashes which now decorate his clothes and body  and looks around.

A puzzled look crosses his face. He was expecting more to kill, after all the brats had shouted something about zombies. There were none in sight though.

Instead he moves over towards the other two inert gobbo's to see if they felt like playing anymore.

Re: BIG goblins

The others come running over but Adia-Ny doesn't allow that to distract him from his opponnent.  Encouraged by the fact that the huge monster seems to be faltering, the young monk presses the attack, feinting a blow to the chest then switching it to another high thrust straight into the throat.  He watches in satisfaction as the ogre is caught completely off guard, moving to block the feint and actually leaning slightly forward just as the blow drives home.

Re: BIG goblins

Adia-Ny inflicts a terrible blow on the last ogre, which causes it to stagger but not fall. Ronalts demand for it to yield may be having some effect but before it can move it is struck down from behind by Yesil, her feelings about prisoners well known. "If you play with fire you're gonna get burned!" she says with some satisfaction.

Arek leaves Felicia to recover and heads across the clearing to aid Adia-Ny, who is clearly suffering, as fast as his short legs can take him.

Vestan pokes the frozen goblins with his foot but they do not want to play...yet.

Elmo and the boys are nowhere in sight.

"Well done Adia-Ny, check the ogre corpse. I check the first one then we will get the children back to town." Ronalt turn on his heel to see the goblins frozen and no Elmo or the children. He calls out, "Elmo. Return to the clearing with the children." as he jogged back to Arek and Vestan.

"Don't kill either goblin. We need answers and they may know something of use, like where they were going."

"Elmo."

Vestan crouches above the first of the frozen goblins, noting it is still alive (for now) but unable to move. He prods it with Gorebringer as Ronalt's voice floats across the clearing to him and he grimaces. "Oh, they'll talk alright. Might not be able to hear too goodthough." He leans forward over the head of the immobile creature. "Never taken a trophy off a live one before," he says forcefully, leering down at his victim.

"Ya manage now?" Arek asked Adia-Ny. With only limited healing power available to him each day, it was vital Arek chose wisely who was to receive it.
The battle over, it didn't take much to see Felicia was still in serious pain and Clanggedin Silverbeard might have just a little more work left to do. Short legs traced back across the small "field" and once more power flowed through him and into the Mage.

Vestan reaches down with his free hand and tweaks the still gobbo's left ear. Yes, this will make a fine addition to my trophy necklace, won't it," he says to the creature, still leering down at it. He gestures with Gorebringer, making a slicing motion incase it didn't understannd the words he used. "Ear today, gone tomorrow!" he says, chuckling after he says it.

Re: BIG goblins

Time passes...

Felicia is given a second cure and seems much better. Elmo returns carying two unhappy looking boys. When he sets them down on the ground they make no move to run away but watch the halfling for signs of skinning.

The two goblins come out of the hold spell but make no attempt to excape clearly terrified.

The ogre corpses are search but little is found. A total of 10 gold, 21 silver and 213 copper coins and the large flail weided by the leader, which might be worth money of a buyer can be found.

Ronalt binds the two goblins, "Right lets get back to town with these two young ones and these goblins. Maybe the local elders would then like to ask the goblins what they were up to."
Ronalt glances to Vestan, "Best you put that knife away Vestan. There will be no skinning or ear removal today."
"Arek will Felicia be able to make the walk back unaided?"
"Yesil you take the lead back, Adia-Ny could you keep the two goblins in order. I will follow making sure our flanks are covered."

Re: BIG goblins

With no-one stopping him, Vestan collects himself a tropy, happily slicing the ear off. He hums to himself as he does it and it is possible he even sings a little. As the organ is removed, he lifts the blood soaked ear to his mouth.

'Ello? Ello? Can you hear me now?" He asks in a flippant manner. He looks around to the others and asks in an innocent voice. "I don't think we need those other two, you know. Because I have one 'ere!" He grins wildly and chuckles at his joke before putting the ear into one of his pouches.

He wipes his blood stained hand on the clothing of the gobbo. "Now, what shall we take next?"

"Vestan. You push your luck. Show some sign of being civilized and put away your blade." Ronalt admonishes loudly, "Else we will let the goblin take one of your ears in payment for your brutality. An ear for an ear you would no doubt like to chuckle."
"So back away from the goblin, we need it alive and still sane for the village council."

Knowing there was little more he could do for the wounded, at least for now, Arek settled for shooting a very dissatisfied glare at Vestan as he pocketed the dead Goblins ear.
"Tha'll be tha last one you take boy!" he threatened. There'd be no more of that occuring around Arek if he could help it.
"Lets move along then. Sooner back t' town the sooner we get you healed up." Felicia and Adia-Ny to a lesser degree would certainly benefit from a comfortable bed and a draught or two of his famous cure-all brew.
