Re: Character Specifics
Excellent. I will bring some healing, at least, as well as some kind of flavor attack. Busy work week, but I plan to have a character mocked up by tomorrow.

Re: Character Specifics
As Arcane powers are not common knowledge, only players / characters with them will be given their details. Also, to find out more they need to research or be exposed to their use.

Re: Character Specifics
Another thing to keep in mind.
Just because "your body" used to be a fisherman doesn't mean that it is now. You have undergone some mysterious transformation and nothing looks as it once did.

I've rolled some stats and it looks like I would make a good adventurer. My character stats have been updated in character details.

In reply to GM (msg # 17):

2-daggers10
spear5
backpack5
100' rope6
week rations14
boots15
hunter's tools10
cash10
TOTAL75

this is a stupid system, I carefully line everything up in the message creation window and when I transfer it to the message board it is all out of alignment!

Since you have given us a fire maker and waterbags I would like to remove them from my list of items

In reply to GM (msg # 21):

What might be included in Hunter's tools?

Would our fishing gear have included a long pole with a hook on it?

If the Hunter's tools do not include a skinning knife or flaying knife, could I get an idea oh how much for each?

What about a club? You have a mace, but but being fisherman, a solid wood club would make more sense.

In reply to Kumahl (msg # 22):

I was the one to bring up hunters tools and felt that it should include camo makeup, a lotion or cream that would conseal human scent, small tools for making snares and the like, and whatever needed to make more of the makeup and lotion. I don't know anything about a mace, I have a spear and the skill to use it.

Re: Character Specifics
In reply to Kumahl (msg # 22):

What seems reasonable.

Savage Tekumel Gear list standard prices for easily available equipment of excellent quality.
A price can be derived from the listed items for what you need that a "fisherman" from a remote island might reasonably have.
I have also included some things that might not be obviously reasonable but can be explained.

"A bag of" can be further detailed when required but once done so remains inventoried.

Re: Character Specifics
The large basket, that is sturdy enough to sit on, contains some miscellaneous items and a couple of bags with your personal items.
A couple of mostly full waterskins
A small crude wooden box with chlen hide fishhooks, small stone weights and floats.
A small mostly empty waterproofed bag of hard biscuits
A firemaker kit in a tiny waterproofed bag
A couple resin torches
A change of loin cloths for both of you
A couple of water resistant cloaks with hoods
2 sets of waterproof goggles

Re: Character Specifics
The best a Character can start with for Original Skills is:
96-00  Choose four from Group 1 and three from the other two Groups

The best a Character can start with for Professional Skills is:
96-00  Choose 5 from among the first 7

The Skills can be applied very flexibly but what you start with is still limited.

Limitations breed creativity.
