Kel and his team radio ahead to Hanover, Germany, the nearest medical facility with the capability Kel requires to remove the sybiotes. Shark and his team arrive as the last of the scientists is arriving at the hospital from the chaos of the highway take-down which did catch some considerable footage of the incident. One of the scientists attempting to chew threw their restraints makes for particularly good footage.



The hospital is six stories in total, 5 above ground and one below.  It is shaped like a lower case "t" with the emergency entrance under neath the "leg" portion of the "t". The road goes under ground some what to reach the lower level and the ambulance and ER entrance. It's direction of approach is from left to right of the "t" and is well lit with wide walk ways is made for an easy approach the ER.  The double doors lead to a main entry hall with access to the OR's which are strait ahead in the area above the "t". From the entrance on the main floor. ICU is to the right, recovery is to the left.  Two nurses stations and one security station flank the entrance.  Elevators are immediately ahead and left and right of the OR area in the center flanked by a single stair on each side. Each end of the hall are are stairs leading up to open glass doors to the outside.  Stairwells going up to the main hospital floors are also found here. The main entrance is on the 2nd floor, just above the OR's.

Kel sets himself up for the long day ahead relying on the expertise of his crew and teammates to take care of the hazards ahead.

Kel's team secures the area and the hospital with help from the German military and police forces through their various contacts.

Kel learns the following.

1. the creatures implanted can take over motor control of the host and can temporarily boost the hosts physical attributes (+10 all physical stats for 10 min). Kel believes this to be fatal to the host. This would account for the person's seeming invulnerability while going "crazy".

2. They can communicate with each other on a subconscious level independent of the host.

3. They interface with psinetic implants such as those created by Mindwerks and interfere with the part of the brain that is responsible for logical reasoning.

4. They are not from earth.  The creatures DNA shares no known biological markers from earth.
