ACT ONE: FIRST CONTACT - Godthab Omega Blues (Action)
The transport settles on the DRY AND DESOLATE GROUND of this LAWLESS AND FORSAKEN WORLD.  Near your landing point, you can see the township of Abyss, whose MAKESHIFT AND PRE-FAB STRUCTURES appear to be largely of Kree design.  In the distance, Mount Virago towers over the landscape.

As you step from your ship, a well-armed band of Kree militiamen, led by a figure in the garb of a Kree Pursuer, emerge from a shelter nearby with weapons drawn.  Seeing that there are Skrulls among you, their eyes harden and fingers tighten on triggers as the Pursuer speaks.  "State your business for coming to Abyss."

[OOC:  As always, Scene Distinctions are in BLUE.  We're not in combat rounds (yet), so feel free to respond in character.  In addition everyone on Godthab Omega is suffering from a CLOUDED JUDGMENT effect which encourages aggression and conflict.  See the Status Tracker for details.]

"Men and their guns." Gamora mutters as she shoulders past everyone else and stalks right up to the pursuer. Her posture and demeanor are aggressive, even moreso than normal, and she encroaches on the pursuer's space. "Who the das't are you?" she challenges in a disrespectful tone.

Ronan stands a good distance away, arms folded over his Accuser armor. He watches over "his" Kree, judging their reactions to Gamora's display almost as an afterthought.  These men were needed for a purpose, after all; if they couldn't handle this, could they ever be trusted to handle The Graces?

The exiled Supreme Accuser spits as the Kree instinctively flinch before the Zen-Whoberian's fury.  Clearly, this was the leader. Her greenskinned retinue was merely-hang on, did that rat have on a Nova helmet?

Ronan furrows his brow impossibly deeper. This group heralded more than mere salvage opportunity. The Accuser makes no movement to betray his suddenly keener interest as he waits to see how Korath will respond.

The Kree Pursuer who is obviously in charge of the militiamen, deepens his scowl and tightens his grip on his Beta-Batons.  "I am Korath.  The township of Abyss is under my protection.  I ask again, what is your purpose for being here?"

"I got this, I got this...everybody relax. Nova prime is here." Rocket floated before both armed groups. "I am the official representative of the Nova Core. Anything you say can and will be held against you...wait, that's not it. Hang on, let me check the manual..."

I should have bonded with the giant plant. Worldmind groaned to itself and Rocket.

Gamora had been looking forward to the next real opponent she could take on, and something about this Korath was really getting her riled up. She puts her hand on Rocket's shoulder and says loud enough for the rest of the group to hear. "I can take care of this on my own." Then she turns back to Korath. "You're overmatched, Korath. I guess we'll have free reign of the place after I wipe the ground with you and your pathetic band of genetic deadends."

Without further warning, Gamora launches a spinning crescent kick at Korath's head.

In his role as Pursuer, Korath has had to deal with some of the most hardened criminals in Kree space, his genetic and cybernetic augmentations make him individually more than a match for many opponents.  Unfortunately, that training and enhancement falls utterly short of allowing him to engage an opponent like Gamora.  Her lightning fast kick catches him hard on the head, sending him sprawling to the ground.

To the credit of his training and enhancements however, Korath returns the attack.  Still on the ground, he takes a swing at Gamora, his beta-batons crackling with energy, before rolling to a crouching position.  He spits blood as he snarls, "You'll have to do better than that, whore of Thanos!"

ACT ONE: FIRST CONTACT - Godthab Omega Blues (Action)
Upon making contact with this land's surface and breathing its air, Drax could feel his head swimming and his teeth grinding, his fists clenching involuntarily, as if Thanos himself was within striking distance. But no, that cannot be. If Thanos himself appeared in this land, his hubris would not allow him to not present himself. No, Thanos is not here, but there is something... something obstructing his clearest thoughts. As his compatriots left the craft, Drax hung back, to assess the situation, perhaps overcompensating in caution from the effect this place was having on his sense of consideration. Drax looks to his current teammates causing a scuffle with the Kree minions and knows he needs no part in an unnecessary fight. But there is some urgency and import of being here. He looks past and above the fight. "There," he says to the female Skrull, the only one who has not yet jumped into the ill-advised fray. He points to the top of the mountain. "We will go there." He walks off the ship, not looking to see if the female has followed him, then crouches slightly as he walks so as to not arouse suspicion or remind the others that he is not among them. He strides toward the structure on top of the mountain, pacing through the makeshift buildings that make up the village, hyper-vigilant of any danger and sticking to any shadows so as to avoid conflict that will not contribute to his goal of arriving at the target.

With every step that he takes towards Mount Virago, Drax can feel the anger welling up within him.  Petty slights, casual insults and half-remembered grudges boil to the surface.  Ironically, it's his overriding hatred of Thanos which helps keep him focused.  He's definitely aware that some unnatural force is driving the conflict that he can hear raging behind him, but he's no closer to finding the source...yet.

Doom Pool 5d6, 4d8, d10

Lyja looks longingly at the conflict, the million year conflict between the Kree and Skrull makes their hatred an almost genetic imperative, but she follows Drax towards Mount Virago.  Seeing the massive alien's hands gripping his blades with whitened knuckles, she gives him a wide berth but follows his lead.  She too knows that something is influencing and affecting her thoughts and feelings and to combat the strain, she falls back on her training as a spy and infiltrator.  "If I were messing around with everyone's head, where would I hide?"

Only when the soliders started in with the super skrull caused the plant being to roar and smash the ground with his fists.

"I...AM...GROOOOOOT!" He cried out, using his size and power to try and convince the soldiers to make a better choice. Of course, the problem with that was is they did not understand it.

As the battle rages, a trio of figures watch the conflict from a nearby ridge.  One is a Shi'ar woman wearing tight red leather and with long feathered hair.  Seeing the fight she scowls and a blade of crackling red energy erupts from her hands.  "Stellaris, Spirit, are you seeing this?  It looks like the filthy blue-skins have a fight on their hands."  She leaps from the ridge and races towards the battle.  "Graces, let's go and show the newcomers what happens to those who poach on Lady Nebula's domain!"

The Shi'ar woman is quickly followed by a pale woman in dark robes wielding a crackling energy staff and a hulking form in pinkish-purple battle armor who hurl themselves into the fray with abandon.
