Because my idea is that if they manage to stop you guys charging and screaming then they won't notice the stealthy rogue who comes up from behind and casually swipes a foot across the circle.  If he runs he will get there with you, if he does not then he gets there a bit later with a better chance of swiping out the circle.

I find the credit crisis in Greece to be very concerning for contagion spreading to the United States.  Their possible exit of the union due to their rejection of austerity measures could be the unraveling of the Euro-zone as a whole.
