What is the bonus if anything to ambush someone?  If Titus was just a bit better in stealth and a bit better in combat it would be a formidable team with Brennan.  Think a rogue and hunter in WoW working in tandem to mark opponents and take them down quickly.

The ambush bonus depends.

You need to make loads of opposed rolls to sneak up on somebody.

Assuming you do, what effect that has is a matter of scenario.

If, for example, you move into bow-range unseen and shoot at someone who doesn't know he's being shot at, I think it just adds a die.  You'd also be able to take aim actions with impunity.

If, for example, you sneak up behind someone with a knife, you might get a simple die bonus, or just an auto-hit.  If, for example, you sneak up on somebody who is sleeping, I might just let you auto-kill, depending on who and how you sneak up.

Helpless people in this system are pretty helpless.

I'll say yes, but barely.  It will have modifiers for range, dark, terrain, swallows, etc.


... then again, Enrei's "stealthiness" may make it moot...

No penalty.  You are at extreme longbow range.  There is not even the slightest possibility of hitting with a thrown knife.

I mean, if you had Body 8+ or something...
