Alchemist - Person trained in the art of preparing and mixing substances from various magical and mundane materials.

Angel - Any of various creatures which usually dwell in Heaven.  Often take the form of glowing or etherial animals.

Archangel - One who has been chosen to act as an agent of Angels in this world.  Basically the angelic equivalent of a Witch.

Ash Farmers - term used to refer to those who live in the Kiln lands.

Bone Charm - A small shard of bone in a frame or pendant of metal, often gold or brass.  They are said to be bones of the First Men and imbued with magical abilities.  Many are unquestionably fake.

Castoffs of the Dream - Any of various magical creatures left over from the original dream, excepting demons.

Clatch - A card/board game commonly played by the middle/upper class.

Demon - Any of various evil creatures left over from the original dream or Hell.

Demon Shakes - Disease which causes shaking of the extremeties, stuttering and eventually full-body siezures and death.

Demonspeaker - One who uses an understanding of the language of the demons (Fell) to summon and control them.  Although Fell is not itself illegal to study for academic purposes (it was one of the languages from the original dream after all) use for the purpose of summoning demons is.

Eyes - Simple dice gambling/dexterity/drinking game played in the Kingdom.  Many variants exist.

Island Pie - Closest Common translation of a cake originating in Chal'i.  It is sweet but heavily spiced with peppers.  It is traditionally served with fruit at special occasions and while many in the Kingdom claim to have recreated it, true connoisseurs know that nothing can match the real deal.

First, the - Roster of mythological heroes who were supposedly in the first generation of mankind created by God.

Golden Tongue - drug so named because regular users have a discolored tongue.  Causes euphoria and hallucinations.

Minoan - Term used by some, particularly in the East, to describe traveling performers or the like.  Sometimes derogatory, sometimes not.

Ogre - Large humanoid Castoff of the Dream.  The Ogres maintain a kingdom of unknown size and composition in the north.  Northerners claim that they are a constant threat but as they never venture south, nobody but northerners can usually claim to have seen one.

Opium - Newer drug from Nor making waves in Bayton and Hoggle.

Raze-snail - Pest that can easily destroy whole fields if left unchecked.

Two Dreams, the - Heaven and Hell are two dreams that God is simultaneously dreaming.  Dead souls are sent into one or the other dream based on how one behaved in life.  When God awakens, one of the two dreams will come to pass.

Witch - One who has succumbed to demonic influence and acts as their agent in this world.
