Sky Rig One
The Sky Rig is a large teardrop-shaped vessel that more or less floats point-down in the upper atmosphere of the gas giant. The shape allows the turbulent gasses to flow around it without causing instability.

Inside the teardrop is a large irregular-sided cube that is the habitat and fuel processing system.

Hull doors in the outer shell of the teardrop to allow ships to enter, dock with the core, and be refueled in relative safety. That's what the Dust Runner has done.

The docking/refueling area is the lower are of the cube. Docking protocols seem to be automatic, but fueling isn't, presumably due to the need to restore aerodynamics quickly as well as make sure a client can pay for the fuel.

Although the teardrop is totally symmetrical, the interior cube seems to have a port and starboard side, as well as fore and aft. The Dust Runner has docked on the port side. Automatic docking clamps have been extended to anchor the ship in place for refueling, while additional mechanisms have extended an airlock from the station to the ship.

After a minute, the ship's airlock lights green to indicate that there is now a breathable atmosphere on the other side of it.

Re: Sky Rig One
As soon as the air check ran, and the lights turned green Roland sealed the inner hatch and popped the outer hatch moving out first to sweep the area for threats. He moved carefully weapon up, loaded and safety off. his finger firmly planted on the trigger guard as he swept the area around the ship.

Steve followed and looked for the fuel controls.

Re: Sky Rig One
Once through the Dust Runner's airlock, you enter the station's airlock extension, which is about 50 feet long. At the end of that, you have to cycle the station's outer airlock hatch to gain access to the station's airlock. Systems all read green, though, so there is no difficulty opening the hatch.

Once the hatch is open, you can see a pressure suit laying on the floor of the airlock. This is a heavy-duty vacc suit.

Re: Sky Rig One
Roland paused and scanned the area, stepping out of the way of the others, looking about for signs of combat, or an ambush before he did anything else, then moved a good distance away from the suit. He kept his weapon up and his eyes on his surroundings.

"Somebody check that suit would ya, we might be able to use it later....watch out for booby traps."

"You have the crow bar, throw it at the suit and see what happens. Seems we didn't bring any rope."

"Shine the flashlight into the visor, make sure it's empty, use color filter so it doesn't opaque."

Re: Sky Rig One
The pressure suit is large, bulky and unmoving, so Gahler has no trouble hitting it with the thrown wrench. He gets no reaction from it.

Roland steps forward and takes Steve's advice, shining a red light through the visor... and stares into the face of a deadman. There's actually a name stenciled onto the bar just above the visor; it reads 'Rodgers'.

"That's not good. Get a rope from the ship we'll haul him upright and look for wounds."

Steve plays the Motion Detector, 360 then up and down looking for movement in station.

"Looks like we may have missed a firefight." Roland retrieved roe and hoisted the body up searching the suit for entry and exit holes. He was distracted, constantly looking about as he worked, his hand never far from his sidearm. "Odd there wasn't any external damage, or debris in the area..I can't see the local squadron not putting up a fight for the station."
