Re: Destination: Foreven

Harry used a fork! First he ate the veggies, followed in short order by the shrimp. The eggroll disappeared next and the leftover sauce from the shrimp was mixed with the rice and eaten! Mmmmm, that was good! A little rice beer followed to wash it down!

Gahler made sure to give these guys 5 Imperial Stars, or whatever the local rating system was.  This was good chow!

Re: Destination: Foreven

Roland came back aboard a little wobbly a few hours later, carrying a case of good brandy for Harry. Something Rollie knew he would share with the rest of the crew.

Rollie, having a sweet tooth, also bought a case of chocolate chip cookies. He knew there would be a party when they got to the Foreven Sector. They would be leaving here soon.

Re: Destination: Foreven

Adriannah cautiously peeked out of her cabin, checking to see if there was any immediate threat. The area was clear allowing her to move cautiously in the direction of the sounds. Pausing at corners she glanced around before proceeding.

"Eating good food, drinking good beer. We're here for a bit so we're celebrating. Care to join us?. Steve and Rollie were out barhopping, Luise is taking it easy. Rollie I think is sleeping off a tie-on."

Adriannah appeared puzzle by Harry's statement. Celebrating because you're here... she hesitantly states then adds Is this Planet Important?

"No, we do it planetside on occasion, usually special occasion. The occasion here is that we're alive and heading into the unknown of the Foreven Sector, here, have a cold beer and some fried rice if you want it. Gahler, Forge, and I decided to eat and drink to life! By the way, Gahler, pass me another beer as well." He hands the food and beer to Adriannah.

Taking the offered food and beverage Adriannah samples each, assessing the flavor and nutrition they have.

Re: Destination: Foreven

How Adriannah reacts to the flavors is up to her, but the nutritional value is rather nil.

Steve is dragged back aboard the ship by a taxi driver 24 hours later... conscious, but staggeringly drunk... but happy! He claims to have visited 85 bars. At least, you think that's what he's saying. Plus, he's not sure he didn't visit some of them more than once. And, you aren't sure if 'Marina's House' is an actual bar or just someone's house.

Sufficient supplies have been laid in, the drop tanks are flying empty at this point, but one of the collapsible fuel bladders is filled.

The ship is ready to depart. Last chance for civilization for a couple of weeks!

With the ship getting ready to depart, Forge headed to the turret control and pulled up the training manual on the thing to read up on it in case heavier firepower was needed. At least it will give him something to do while in jump.

Re: Destination: Foreven

Gahler strapped himself into a flight station and prepared to get his piloting skill on.  He started to sing an old Terran song as he did the pre-flight...

"Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away
If you can use some exotic booze
There's a bar in far Bombay
Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away

Come fly with me, let's float down to Peru
In llama-land there's a one-man band
And he'll toot his flute for you
Come fly with me, let's take off in the blue"

Hearing the song echoing through the craft, Forge hollered back. "He sang better than me, I sing to the key of "OFF!", but I sound better with more booze in my system." he quipped back.

"Only to yourself Forge, only to yourself." He digs out his ears trying to get the noise out of them.
