Re: Moving Forward
Go up to Game Map button above. If it shows you the main Game Map, go to the bottom. It'll say Select Another Map to View. Click the arrow to show what maps you have access to, select Map for Group 3, and then click view.
All the threads have a Group number or letter after them. These indicate who can view that thread. There are 32 possible groups. It's a way for the GM to present information that's only pertinent to one player.
Group 0 is viewable by anyone visiting the board. If you don't have access to a particular group, than threads for that group won't show up for you. It's mostly usable for Mature or Adult games as your threads can be Group 1, 2, etc. and young'ns then can't read them if they visit the board.
On one board, I'm running 5 different games. If was my first game on RPoL, and I didn't know I could have multiple games running each on its own separate board. So the five games are each run under a different Group. That way, the players can't see what's going on with the other games (unless they are in them), and the board doesn't get all cluttered up.
Another game I'm running has so many threads now it's gone to 3 screens. A lot of them, however, are archives, so I've changed the Group # to something no one has access to (except me, of course)--that way, the board isn't all cluttered up for the other players. It's one of the reasons I get confused--I see ALL 40 threads. I can't filter them out for me unless I delete them.
