Re: OOC Discussions

It's out of the book...so I go with it....although I have yet to see anyone actually use a cutlass.....ever, in any game....oh wait thee as one guy but he was a little weird... and he didn't last long..seems cutlass versus ACR combat is sort of one sided

Re: OOC Discussions

Occupancy

7 double crew quarters = 14
1 Captain Quarter         =   1
2 Double Passenger     =   4
4 Single Passenger      =   4

Standard occupancy     = 25
Double up single pass   = 29

Standard life support should be able to handle 29 and probably an few more depending on the safety buffer.

Found it. It's a copy, but it will do. I didn't ever find the first few and much younger carefully two sided copied the issue, folded and stapled it.

Hhhhmmm, unless zimm drives are different than jump drives, our fuel requirements would be 60 tons, not 40...or am I missing something?

Re: OOC Discussions

I just happened to notice when I looked at the ship stats...is it a typo? for every 100 tons of ship it's 10 tons of fuel per parsec jump capability...so, a 300 ton ship, requires 30 tons for J1...60 for J2, etc...

Unless there's something special about this ship?

Re: OOC Discussions

It may not have been a typo, but someone's miscalculation. Otherwise, the ship can't carry enough fuel for a jump-2.

However, it is a 'new' ship, so maybe the Zimm drive is an improvement... being more fuel-efficient. Maybe the engineers should look into this.

Actually, if they chopped 20 tons off of cargo(108 to 88), it could...unless we're talking about some sort of hybrid j-drive (I have no idea what a Zimm drive is)...

Keep in mind, any drive that consumes 20% less fuel, would be a top-secret design, and not one likely to be put on a trader...but, if that's what the GM wants, ok...we'll be hunted down...not only by anyone who knew about this project, but anyone that even heard rumors about it...

Or, it could have been a typo/miscalculation...

I prefer the latter, our life is difficult enough as it is...

Re: OOC Discussions

Zimm drive is name used in Gypsy Knights Cascadia universe.  Stats wise it is identical to standard Traveller so likely cargo needs cutting to fix. It also has 4 free tons  296 total instead of 300  so 16 tons needed to fill out L-hyd needs.
