how Iam doing the adventure seeds is like this...
quote:
Adventure Seeds
One of our Own is Missing ( military Adventure)
The group is the crew of a corvette assigned to patrol a frontier region, a sector bordering any group, (sword worlds, Zhodanii, Aslan, Vargr, Zhodanii, etc) the ship is on about to return to it's operations base to be refueled, and re supplied at the end of a six week multi system patrol. A scout bearing dispatches arrives carrying orders for the vessel to proceed with a search for a missing scout vessel which failed to arrive for a rendezvous with it's support resupply tender.
It is supplied with a route for the missing corvette and has been replenished by the tender supporting the ships corvette flotilla. following the jump route of the missing vessel the ship will encounter several random events while searching. ( each sector should have a small chance of finding the missing vessel)
However after three to five jumps wreckage from two corsairs is detected a quick search indicates that both corsairs were destroyed recently by missile and gun fire.
there is no evidence of the missing frigate, an inspection of the corsairs computers will indicate they were part of a three ship wolf pack which was looking for a safe harbor after being chased out of their last port of call by angry locals and a fleet patrol that had responded to a warning smuggled out of the sector by a group of free lance mercs.
Both ships indicate they had been ambushed by the corvette, which had targeted their jump drives, on it's first pass. The missing corvette then dashed into nearby nebula, when a Pirate corvette showed up and opened fire on the missing corvette.
the Missing vessel reappeared making another high speed run further damaging the pirate vessels. then dashed back into the nebula pursued by the pirate corvette.
Dead in space and unable to repair their corsairs the pirates waited for the third corsair or the corvette to return, when a pirate cargo ship arrived in system the crews abandoned ship planning to return and repair the vessels.
The crew has several options..
1) search for the missing corvette in the nebula hoping to confirm the ships destruction or rescue its crew if possible.
2)set up an ambush for the pirates. catching them as they attempt to repair their crippled vessels.
3) jump back to the tender and return with any vessels rallying at the Tender site, waiting to be replenished or relieved by reinforcements from the flotillas naval station.
4) repair the two corsairs, and return them to the fleet for a prize bounty, and favorable review from their superiors.
Notes the GM should decide ahead of time if the missing corvette has been destroyed, and if any of it's crew has survived. If the crew has survived the Corvette can rescue the stranded crewmen, and return them or medical attention and return to a friendly fleet facility.
If the group spends more than a few hour in system the GM should begin some random process to indicate if the pirates return while the groups corvette is in the area. if the pirates do return it should consist of a couple of corsairs, and perhaps a few assault craft capable of attempting to make a boarding action against the corvette.
If the Players find themselves in trouble a second corvette, or the missing corvette, can arrive on the scene at the last moment to assist the players vessel and level the odds.
from here there are several connect seeds which could be linked together to form a full adventure...
the Referee is supplied with a rough outline of the adventure only...he can pick and choose options from the list, or embellish it to his tastes. Even if the player knows the seed, he wont be able to tell exactly what is going to happen. Also, player actions can completely alter the course of events.
even if I know which seed you were using, I'd still be in the dark about where you are heading with it.
