Sir Pedivere

Born 21 years ago, the eldest son of Sir Artlan and the lady Isabel de Leon, Pedivere is a strapping, if hot-headed youth.  Squired to Sir Ector from an early age, he has only now earned his spurs.

Standing impressively at just over six feet tall, and of wiry frame, the young knight is a handsome, charismatic figure.  His hair is dark and long, worn down and past his shoulders, whilst his eys are deep and blue.  He bears the device of his family with pride; a rearing unicorn of emerald emblazoned upon a white background.

Calis

Calis stands at five feet six and weighs about one hundred and fifteen pounds. His thick shoulder length black hair is pulled back in a loose tail and he has dark brown eyes and brown skin. He is also clean- except for a brown mustache. Since he walks a lot his boots are scuffled, but they are still in good repair, even if they are travel worn. The rest of his clothing is brown in color, except for his cloak, which is red. A backpack hangs over one shoulder while his musical instruments are held on his body, mostly around his waist. Stuck into his belt is a sickle and he mostly uses his short spear as a walking stick. His leather armor is also decorated with beads, feathers, coins, and other small items that he can untie and use when he wants to impress his audience.

Re: A Character Sheet to help you putting it together...

Colm McTyre hails from the Emerald Isle and thusly speaks with a thick Irish accent.  A traveling woodsman, he keeps his long dark hair out of his eyes with a thin strip of leather.  He is garbed in a fine jacket of dark green Studded Leather, tough calf's hide leggings and sturdy boots; all in muted earth tones.  A beautifully crafted honey coloured long bow is slung over his shoulder and he carries a blade at his side.

Colm is a dark, forlorn man, who can usually be found near a large frothy pint or wagering on a game of chance.

Father Rys

Father Rys is a young man, somewhere in his mid to late 20s. He has reddish-brown hair that is kept short. His eyes are striking, as that one is green and one is blue; and they always seem to be looking for answers...peering into the dark to uncover the truth.  He stands about 5'6" and is of slight build.

Typical clothing for him would be his brown clerical alb, cinched at the waist with a piece of rope. From this dangles his rosary...and a morningstar. He uses a large-ish walking stick when he is on foot. He does have a mount, Equus, that appears to be horse bred for battle...though he sits him rather poorly. He has a pet hawk named Buteo.

He hails, originally from York. He was placed in the care of brothers at one of the chapels when he was found, as a babe, in the streets. He has since been to Canterbury for further education, and is on his own for the moment.

Aeron Cadwalader

Aeron Cadwalader was born to a serf class family but was marked as different from birth.  He had two different color eyes.  One was blue and one was green.  This marked him in his community as different.  The community of course being the uneducated masses read this in two different ways.  Either he was touched by darkness or his lineage was mixed from more than one father.  This made his working in the fields somewhat un-welcome.  His community either gave him more work or would not allow him to work with them.  Through this treatment he became a rather hardy individual who learned to survive through guts and luck.  It was pure luck one day that he came in front of a local knight who took fancy to his strange look.  The knight actually had some notion that those touched should be kept watch of and became a sort of patron to the boy.  Well it turned out that the boy had a knack for verse.  Well not like a poet but he had a knack for the lighter side of life.  It is in this service that the boy grew to be a jokester to the knight.  He would attend the knight and help the knight make light of the day-to-day stresses of knighthood.  The boy learned to read and write, and to perform with minstrels.  He learned many things, but as fate would have it, the knight lost his honor through an act of cowardice and was stripped of his rank.  This left the knights household to swear fealty to a different house.  This cost everyone some honor but was done without question and we now find Aeron is unknown company.  A humorist in a un-humorous situation.

Aeron is a medium sized person with long flowing brown hair held back from his brow with a simple tie cord.  He is quick to smile and always ready with the pointed end of his tongue.  His clothing is either simple leathers of utility or garish colorful garb of an entertainer.

Yup that was me.  Gaunte the way too independant supporting character.  That game was fun though, too bad Tony dropped it.  Was playing that thing for almost a year and a half and then just poof.

Re: Sir Etienne Olivier du Bois

Born 25 years ago to a highly religious Scottish King. Second son of the house of the King, he took to travel shortly before Arthur came to power and married. He has earned his spurs as a Scot, and is a sworn man to Arthur, King, and the Table Round.

A medium-tall individual, bearing a light pack and riding a charger that would make any knight proud, there is in his bearing an unconscious poise, bordering on arrogance, that indicates his noble birth almost as well as his expensive armour and the barding upon his mount do. His ice-blue eyes seem to bore into one like awls into wood, and he is richly caparisoned, though it is somewhat worn with travel and faded from sun. A shield with a snarling lion's head in red upon its face rests upon his back, and a simple cloth band encircles his head, visible when his head is freed from the confines of his helm. He is strikingly handsome, and while obviously not the strongest of individuals, his charm more than makes up for it in most cases. A notably pious individual, he is driven by some inner spark to become more than a prince, but less than one at the same time.

{Edited for New Portrait}

Name: Sir Etienne Olivier du Bois
Family: Count Gaston du Bois & Countess Sofia du Bois (younger brother Viscount Guy du Bois)
Bloodline: Lesser Nobility
Nationality: French
Birthplace: Aquitaine
Class: Knight
Level: 6
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Height: 6 ft 1 in
Weight: 185 lb
Build: Athletic
Size: Medium
Complexion: Fair with light Tan
Hair Color: Light Auburn (lightened by the Sun)

Status: Knight-Errant & Provisional Member of the Templar Order
Steed: "Toujours Fidèle" (Always Faithful)
Coat-of-Arms/Device: The Red Cross of the Templars (also the Golden Griffon of the du Bois Family)

Sir Etienne was raised by his father Count Gaston du Bois to inherit the du Bois fief in France as the eldest son and heir.  Sir Gaston was a respected military leader who had been knighted by the King of France and he had trained both his sons, Etienne and Guy, in the ways of war and battle.  The Countess Sofia du Bois was a very devout Christian who had raised her sons to respect the Church and rejoice in their Faith.  Etienne had always been the more religious of the two brothers and he had secretly known from an early age that he would serve only one King... the Lord God who reigns in Heaven.  Etienne knew that his more secular brother was better suited to succeed Count Gaston.

When Etienne reached the age of manhood at 16, he renounced his title and abdicated his inheritance in favor of his younger brother Visount Guy du Bois.  He had already gained the blessing of the Archbishop to serve as a squire to Sir Xavier de Guilbert, a respected Templar Knight and Crusader.  Etienne served under and fought beside Sir Xavier and the other Templars during the Crusades in the Holy Land for nearly 6 years.  During that time, Etienne earned his knighthood when he bravely defended Sir Xavier, who had been severely wounded, from attacks by several Saracens.

Having been knighted and wishing to enter the Templar Order, Sir Etienne was given the task of proving his worth and his devotion to God and the Order.  He was to return from the Holy Land and take up the path of a Knight-Errant "Perform Good Deeds, Defend the Faithful, Fight Evil in all places and Serve God at all times".  For the past two years, Sir Etienne has been travelling throughout France and England searching for quests to prove his merit to the Order.  He knows that he is close to earning his full Membership in the Templar Order but he still has a few final tasks to complete.

Re: Sir Etienne Olivier du Bois

Unbeknownst to the wayward travellers upon an
isolated trek of the 'Old Roman North Road', a
well hidden 'Sentinel' of the 'Forest Primeval'
awaits atop the heights of a nearby tree
enshouded hill.  The 'Stranger Darkly' gazes
down upon the land below, discerning whether
the newcomers be friend or foe to all that he
holds sacred and dear to his heart.

To the Celtic Tribes this Sentinel would most
likely be viewed as a 'Protector and Champion
of the Land'.  To those of the 'Older Faiths'
                . . . he's a dedicated servant to the Earth
Mother goddess; on the other hand, outsiders
from the South may simply see him as a barbaric
                pagan savage.

His voice echoes through the hills as he screams to the
                strangers below . . .

"Hold, n' do na come any the further . . . r'e suffers me wrath
without quarter!  Wot be thy business pon this most sacred land O' mine
trespassers?"

Upon learning that the trespassers had no ill intent and
that they were simply merchants plying their trade, the Sentinel abandon-
ed his post and quickly made his way down to the newcomers.  The watcher
from above trekked through the bush laiden hill effortlessly; not long
afterwards a most unusual sight fell upon the unsuspecting eyes of the
merchants gathered upon the 'Old Roman Road' . . .

A rather large shambling mound of flora emerged onto the road
from the thick underbrush just a mere few feet from them.  Astonishingly
the mound begins to speak . . .

"Greetings, me monkier be Nars of the Forest Primeval."

Whilst Nars makes his introductions, he begins to remove his
camoflague, which is comprised of fish netting and flora from the adjacent
field.  A well armed and rather large muscled tattooed brute emerges from
his cacoon before their very eyes.  Not one lick of hair graced his unremark-
able countenance, yet he did exhibit rather distastful tatooes upon both his
bare pate and face . . . some of the red and black scarring resembled eyebrows
and a host of other pagan symbols and designs.  His almost aquiline nose seem-
ed to jut from his prominent forehead, and his jaw boasted a dimple at its
center.

A distasteful feral odor wafts from Nars person, consequently
engulfing the unfortunate traders within his horrid vapors.  Several of the
merchants began to reflexively gagg; they immediately rendered prayers to
their god that their self appointed guide would perform his duty from a more
acceptable range.

            To be Continued . . .
