Re: OOC Thread for General Use (2)

Just a heads up that Fri-Sun March 15-17, 2024, I will be at a retreat. They don't allow cell phone, tablets, and etc. so, no updates from me until I return. Thanks for understanding.

Re: OOC Thread for General Use (2)

These extra, uncharacteristic, mid-week updates by me brought to you by my wife's emergency appendectomy.  I'm home with the kid, helping her out for several days, while the first stages of healing from surgery are going on.

Damn.  That's two major abdominal surgeries in the first quarter of this year, when you add in the fact that our daughter was delivered by caesarean section.

Yes, tell your wife, that's quite enough of that !  No more surgical emergencies, thank you !  But seriously, give her our best and hope she's on the mend soonest !  :>

Re: OOC Thread for General Use (2)

She's feeling much better today, although we're told that it will take about six weeks for her to finish healing completely.  I'll be heading back to work tomorrow, but will be helping around the house even more than usual for a bit still.

Thanks for the well-wishes, guys.

Re: OOC Thread for General Use (2)

I've been reading some LitRPG material my adult son recommended to me.  Characters in the story are aware that they have levels and classes, along with skills (feats).  It's interesting to ask the question, "What if the characters knew some of this stuff, from a rules perspective?".  The story only sort-of does this, but it's still and intriguing question.
