Covenant Residents
Magi

  • Manius ex Bonisagus is the sole magus in the covenant and is its founder. He is also the master of the apprentices.

Apprentices

  • Elgast is one of Manius's several apprentices. He began his apprenticeship at age 10. His speech is remarkably advanced for his age.
  • Merl is one of Manius's several apprentices. Although he started apprenticeship at age 12, he appears much older due to his immense size.
  • Rosalie is one of Manius's several apprentices. She began her apprenticeship at age 9. Her eyes and other features are suggestive of her heritage.
  • Santino is one of Manius's several apprentices. He began his apprenticeship at age 9...
  • Waldemar is one of Manius's several apprentices. He began his apprenticeship at age ??. Very surprising at his age, he has white hair to go along with his odd eyes.

  • Iseult is a very pretty, very small, observant woman of English descent who runs much of what needs doing around the covenant. She is Noll's older sister, though she appears younger.
  • Oliver, better known as Noll, is a scholarly young man of English descent with a frequent wheeze or cough. He commonly instructs the apprentices, and he spends much of his time on alchemical pursuits. He is Iseult's younger brother.

Covenant Locale
The covenant lies on the edge of the ocean or a sea. The building itself is built behind the rock face of a small cliff over the water. About 40 feet above the water a rectangular passageway is cut into a corner sheltered above and on the sea side. Not too far in there is an actual door to keep out the chill. Overall, the climate is a bit chilly but reasonably moderate, and nights are very long in the winter and very short in the summer. Beyond this you don't know much yet...




There is a narrow path cut into the rock, descending from the cliff's top. Above the covenant is a beechwood forest with a mix of coniferous and deciduous trees present. The forest is an especially vibrant green, even well into it, much more so than commonly once under the forest canopy. (Note, the town in the second photo isn't there, but that view is pretty much correct from overhead and behind the covenant.)




Deep in the forest it becomes ultra-vibrant, still following the seasons but always more alive than the rest of the forest.
