Wash stood behind Zoe as she looked at herself in the mirror, checking her makeup.

"You gonna keep watchin or you planning on doing something?"

"Ooo, I've got all sorts of plans," he purred.   "Not sure as you'll let me do any of em though."

"Not if they're likely to mess up my lipstick I just put on."

"I didn't say anything about kissing you?"

"You didn't have to."

"on the lips anyway," he added as an aside.

"Uh huh."  She turned to him and smiled, taking the man she loved in her arms and kissing him.  Lipstick was easy to redo, a marriage wasn't.

Elsewhere...

"River?  River, its Simon.  Where are you?"  He moved down the stairs and through the main area near the infirmary.  He had already checked here but with River, you never know if she had moved while he was elsewhere.

It was impossible to know with River.

Of course, River has a way of finding you.

Not hearing an answer from River, he went to check the engine bay.  She might be looking for her best friend Kaylee.

...she might be pulling all the wires out of the engine controls.

He hoped for the former... and then he started walking more quickly.

No terrifying space monkeys were found, though Kaylee, covered in grease as she was, might have been a good sight more scary than the monkeys.

Active, Inactive, the choices are each day

"RIGHT NOWThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends no gatherings of 50 or more people in the U.S. for the next eight weeks."

I invite you to continue in prayer and conversation as you prepare to navigate the days ahead with hope and with caring for others and yourself.  Our family extends beyond the four walls we live in, and we have personal ways of spreading love and caring for others within our unique life-settings.
