Here in this extensive tome is a list of the many types of flora and fauna that exist in this wild world. From the deadly creatures of the Dead Mountains of the Devil's Gullet, to the cute little furred animals of Krotan's lighter side, this collection of entries given by hunters, explorers, and scholars alike should provide insight for whatever you may need.

~Beasts, Creatures, and Monsters~

~Skullcaps~

-Skullcaps are large pack reptiles known for their sturdy bipedal legs, and of course their thick skulls and scalps. The reptiles are quite docile, only attacking when they or their pack is threatened, some can even be trained as pets, and many are used to pull wagons, or in rare cases even be road, for traveling merchants. Skullcaps are vegetarians, using their beak shaped mouths to strip bark from trees, and dig up roots from the ground.

-Skullcaps are very popular among people from the Devil's Gullet, as the standard four quadruped hooved animals such as, horses or oxen, don't fair well on such hard and wild terrain. The sturdy reptiles are much more accustom to rockier areas and because of that they can adapt to many types of terrain.

~Beast Kin~

-Beast-Kin, also known as Animal-Men, are stuck somewhere in the middle of animal and man. Beast Kin come in all kinds of shapes and sizes and come from all over the world, not hailing from one specific land or another. For the most part they look like humans, only with animal qualities, but they can be anything from part feline to part squirrel. For example, a cat Beast Kin looks like a human with feline ears, tails, and sometimes claws, while a rhinoceros Beast Kin can have thick skin and horns. However, one difference that has so far held to be common, is that most male Beast-Kin usually take on a more beastly look, while most female Beast-Kin look much more human.

-Beast Kin take on attributes from their animal half. This makes them stronger, faster, more agile, etc. Most of them have superior strength as a standard, it is the other attributes that vary. For this fact many Beast-Kin become warriors, mercenaries, or something of the like. This may be a lasting effect from their tribal nature. Beast-Kin outside of main cities usually live in closely-nit tribes and communities. Its not uncommon to see whole neighborhoods comprised of only Beast-Kin, not necessarily out of a preference of race, they simply find it to be more comfortable.

-Of course, for all of the Beast-Kin's natural skills and abilities, it only makes sense that the God's would take something in return. Beast-Kin live on average to be only about 70-90 years old, of course varying from type to type. Because of this, relatively short, lifespan, Beast-Kin tend to live life to the fullest, always sticking to what they do best, and doing it rightly so. This may be another reason that communities are so closely-nit, through a simple understanding of living life in the present to see tomorrow.
