not more than 2 a day with a group because people can get lost in the posting if one person can post all day and others only get on first thing or late in the evening

I'd prefer a game with 1-2 posts per day.  Over the years, those are the games that I've found last the longest.

Re: Discussion Area

So far, everyone seems happy with a 1-2 posts per day, so that doesn't seem to be an issue with the groups.

So here's a revised group list. There's now a ranger in every group, and a druid (healer) in every group. I've got one more player still trying to figure out his character, so hopefully he'll fit into the Keepers of Olvar.

Keepers of Kelvar (animals)

Anna the Red (Human; summoner/rogue)
Aerethion (Elf; fighter/ranger; master of the bow)
Borun Redbeard (Dwarf; monk/empyreal Sorcerer)
Elured (Half-Elf; ranger/magus)
Sky Sheer'een (Half-Elf; fighter-arcane archer/druid-master of masks)

Keepers of Olvar (plants)

Gwynhwyfar the Fair (Human; druid/sorceress)
Haldir (Elf; ranger/magus)
Lady Isile (Moriquende; sorceress/oracle)
Wren (Half-Elf; monk/rogue)

Keepers of Silence (troubleshooters)

Arad Marahellon (Half-Orc; druid/witch)
Borjnen Boulderol (Dwarf; barbarian/hill-giant-fighter)
Davis (Human; barbarian-totemist/fighter)
Ehrindil (Elf; samurai/magus)
Ro'kath (Half-Orc; fighter/ranger)

Re: Discussion Area

I assume that anyone from the region of Mirkwood would know who Elured is and most likely have had some interaction with him, especially of characters of our level, most of his history would be common knowledge as many a bard sings of his story and many heroic deeds.

In Summary:

Elured was born near the end of the first Age. He and his brother Elurin were abandoned (at the age of 6) in the forest of Doriath by the invadiing Son's of Feanor who were seeking to claim the Silmaril in Dior's posession. (Dior being Elured's father).

Elured and Elurin survived for 86 years alone (unbeknownst to them, under the watchful protection of Iarwain Ben-adar [AKA: Tom Bombadil] before he left Beleriand and settled permanently in the Old Forest).  The twin's were found by Oropher on his exodus from Beleriand to Mirkwood where he made his kingdom.  Oropher fostered them in a similar fashion as Elrond fostered Aragorn.

In the second age Elured accompanied Durin's Folk and then met up with and joined his best friend Amroth's forces to the War of the Elves and Sauron.  Almost 2000 years later he joined Oropher's Company in the Last Alliance of Elves and Men.

When Oropher died, Elured and Elurin's fostering passed on to Thranduil (making them foster brothers of Legolas)

In the third age Elured took up the role of ambassador between Thranduil's Realm and those Realm's in the vacinity (The people of Dale, Durin's Folk of the Iron Hills, Silvan Elves of Lorien, and Beorn the skin-changer).  He married Nimloth and the bore twins, a boy (Melethron) and a girl (Melethril).

He accompanied his Great Nephews, Elladan and Elrohir, to the Redhorn Pass on Caradhras in the Misty Mountains to rescue his cousin (their mother) Celebrian from Orcs and also accompanied Durin's Folk to the Battle of Nanduhirion.  He also journeyed to the Shire to assist in the invasion of the wolves and Orcs which crossed the frozen Baranduin river.

Re: Discussion Area

Greetings All!

I just wanted to give everyone an update as to how much I still have
to complete concerning Haldir's character creation.

The following things still needs to be addressed:

        -  I still have about 9000 GP's to spend.
        -  I still need to choose 7 more feats.
        -  I'm currently about half way through composing
           Haldir's description*, and I haven't started to
           write his backgound as yet.

I've been putting quite a bit of time on getting Haldir completed,
but its not easily done being that he's a very complicated Elf!

If all goes well, I'll try and post on the Red Leaf Inn thread
some time today.  Well its time for me to sign off for a while
as I now have to go and take care of some business, and take care
       of several chores.

       * In the wee hours of this morning I was working on Haldir when I
lost my connection.  I tried everything I could to get back on
line as I thought I could correct it.  However I was wrong . . .
and after several system restores, I came to realize that I could
not fix the problem.  After having learned that the DNS server was
having problems, I went back to bed grumbling!  It wasn't until
later this morning that my computer was back on line.  Things are
slow going for me anyways since I'm still using a phone modum to
         get on line.

         * =  Egads!  I just hope that my current approach in composing
Haldirs description meets my peers expectations, as well as
that of Azurak the Blue.  If you're curious as to what I've
done so far, you can always click on my character's Icon in
         order to find out . . .
