It's a big celestial dire lion that is 15 feet long and weighs 3500 pounds!  But he has a 7 int and 16 wis and neutral good alignment so yes, unless you're an orc, then you might be on the menu...

Does he like passengers? I'm not terribly heavy ^^;

you pick the best one of the two, so whichever class save is best, use that value, whichever has best attack value, use that one, whichever class gets the most skill points per level, use that one, and so on...

I actually chose my character's classes, because I thought the character would fit well in the milieu.

Personally, my vote (if I get any) would be to be more lenient in accepting spellcasting.  Yes, I can see it straying from canon, but I think the game might become boring if we are not ever encountering enemy spellcasters, as well as monsters with such spell-like abilities.

Actually, most monsters are non-canon.

I'll be playing a Half Orc, though technically he'd be anywhere between a quarter and half, depending on the exact composition of his Uruk-Hai father. Don't ask, it wasn't pretty but mom killed him.

I'll be playing a Druid|Witch and as such I think I can fly under the radar with my spells.

Hi everyone new. :) A half Orc in Middle Earth could be interesting (the reaction should be much akin to that of characters playing drows in other settings). I originally considered playing a neutral good half Orc barabarian but decided to go for my elf in the end.

As for the large group, it may be easier to split us into 2 smaller groups.

I'm fully aware that being a Half Orc on Middle Earth could cause issues, especially since he can't fully condemn them, both hating them and being intrigued by them. His mother taught him to hate them for what they did but he can't help but wonder how much of himself he recognises in the orcs and how much orc he is.

Actually, I like the idea of a Half-Orc in the party, it will make for some interesting dynamics. :)

Since we are on the subject of lineage, Ehrendil is the (unmentioned) youngest child of Elrond and Celebrian.

Isile and Ehrendil, you have both been added to Elured's lineage.

Isile is Elured's neice and Ehrendil is his Great Grand Nephew.

As for splitting into 2 groups.  It could be possible that the Keeper's of Kelvar and Olvar are split into The Keepers of Kelvar (protectors of the Animals) and the Keepers of Olvar (protectors of the Plants [including Ents]).  Sometimes they work in conjunction if both their mandates are threatened in the same place.

This is strictly up to the GM though, just throwing idea's out there.

Ehrendil, Elured has next to no social skills so if you want to be strong in that area, go for it.

Although my traditionalist senses reject the idea of a Half-Orc hero in Middle Earth, it is a fact that Orcs were once Elves captured and tortured by Sauron until all that remained are what we know as orc's.  It would make more sense if your other half was Elf, not Man.

I character returning to his Elven heritage after thousands of years of being lost from it has a certain nobility around it that I find interesting.

I guess best to put out in the open, cause I'm sure others been asking in PM.

If one has Craft Item feat, can we buy our items at cost?

While that is an interesting way to look at it, my character's background is actually even more muddled, when it it comes to creation.

His father was Uruk-Hai, so a human Orc hybrid of sorts. Add to that his Rohirrim mother and you have an odd mix indeed.

EDIT: Actually, after looking into it a bit more, I'm making him the son of one of Sauron's Half Orcs or Goblin Men, a quarter orc as such. Mechanically nothing changes.

yes my bow is my main weapon, but I have many other abilities too. Druid spells, strong fighting, and 5 masks that I can wear 4 at once which have spells, sneak atts, cone of fire, Mage spells, preist spells, & an angel mask.
