Re: Discussion Area

I will be a melee character. I am vaguely considering switching my second class to something that will enhance this and offer more subtle magic (sorcerers aren't really meant to be front line warriors).

In answer to Elured: No one else has answered and Charisma would work quite well so I will probably go with that if I don't change my second class. I quite like the separation that you proposed for separating the group into defenders of plants and defenders of creatures.

maybe a favoured soul?  more melee oriented class with a solid healing/evoker background...

Re: Discussion Area

Actually, I do like the favoured soul class (though as far as I know, there is no pathfinder version for the class).

Re: Discussion Area

Basically take the Oracle with a melee focused mystery like Battle or Metal if you want a Favored Soul like character.

Re: Discussion Area

I had actually started looking at that as a solution.

...But I wouldn't get the level 17 wings. :P

Growing wings is fun but jokes aside, it would probably work quite well.

In reply to Ehrendil (msg # 60):

You'd have to go Dark Tapestry, Flame or Wind for Winds for wings. Sorcerer also does it though, Celestial if you want angel wings.

Re: Discussion Area

Thanks, I was half joking about the wings, they are fun but don't really suit the setting or character concept.

I checked out the Magus class (as does the Battle Oracle) and it does seem suited to what I was planning in terms of a melee caster though we already have a ranger/Magus.

To Elured: Are you a ranged Character? If so, our abilities shouldn't overlap too much if I do take magus as my second class.

To Azurak: When would you like us to finish our characters by?

Re: Discussion Area

I'm currently fiddling with my Feat and Rogue/Ninja Talent selection and Magic Items.

I'm interested in nabbing Vanishing Trick -> Invisible Blade: Spend 1 Ki Point to cast Invisibility on yourself/ Greater Invisibility @ Rogue Level CL.  It occurred to me that it might be a bit...  One Ring-y... so, Taking general community input on the idea.

On the upside, my Monk/Rogue Skills alone, when combined witht he Hunter's Surprise advanced trick alone could let me, 1/day, declare a foe my Prey, do my full flurry of blows on them for 4-5 consecutive sneak attacks, then follow them and hit them again before the end of my next turn for more sneak attacks...

Once per day, but something like this is for when it absolutely, positively has to die NOW :3

Re: Discussion Area

I didn't have any specific time/date in mind for finishing characters. I was planning on putting up a starting post sometime today, and then players can join in as they finish their character sheets.

Re: Discussion Area

I'm actually thinking of grabbing 2 levels of Ranger on my Druid end and go grab the Shapeshifting Hunter feat, making Druid and Ranger levels stack for both Wildshape and Favored Enemy.

As for feats, if I go that way Shapeshifting Hunter is one and Natural Spell is another I'm sure of.

By the way Azurak, would you be ok with the Scarred Witch Doctor archetype on the witch end?

Lady Isile:
I guess best to put out in the open, cause I'm sure others been asking in PM.

If one has Craft Item feat, can we buy our items at cost?

Azurak the Blue think this slipped past you.

Re: Discussion Area

No, having Craft Item feat won't let you get a magic item at cost. That represents role-playing and since you're all jumping in at 10th level without really doing the role-playing to get there, it just wouldn't be fair to everyone else.

Sounds good to me, I should be mostly done by tonight.

If you do start a thread I will be glad to start role playing the mysterious Lady Isilë.

Re: Discussion Area

Remember elves in ME tend to be quite tall, Galadriel is 6 foot 4 and most males from the first age are 7 feet tall or taller.  Aragorn is 6 foot 6 and Borhimir is 6 foot 4.  Men in the first age were close to 7 feet tall.
