To Ehrendil: Elured is both a Swordsman and an Archer and is very good at both.  I have laid out my Magus's magic earlier in this thread.  I doubt they will overlap.  You can never have too many archers in a group, as long as they each are good at something else entirely different as well.

Re: Discussion Area

So, I'm doingmy magic items, going to be flavoring to fit my image/settinga bit, but right now, here's what I've got, though I am definitely seeking advice and suggestions;

13,000 - Monk Robe (+5 levels for AC, Unarmed Damage, +1 Stunning First use/day)
16,000 - Separate Items +2 Str, Dex, Con, Wis
12,000 - Boots of Speed
5,200 - Vest of Escape (Includes magic lockpicks and bonus on escape artist)
4,000 - Amulet of Mighty Fists +1 (using it for Ghost Touch, or another power)
 4,000 - Cloak of Resistance +2
 2,000 - Ring of Protection +1
 1,000 - Bracers of Armor +1

Leaves 4,800 for tools & supplies

750: Magic Weapon
xxx: Some Shuriken ('Elven Leafbiters' :3)

Can you think of anything else I should probably grab?
I may save 8,000 and drop the Strength and Con items, since those are kind of secondary for me. Advice welcome :)

Thieves don't give their gold away :3 hehe

Besides, pretty much all of my goodies were forgotten treasures recovered, nothing outright bought. I may be part elf, but I don't have any true connection to my father's name or bloodline, and that could be a thing, if some of you elven genealogists want to try and figure out who my father was :3  I, as a player, have no idea :3

Re: Discussion Area

but yeah, I just realize dhow insanely amazing my jump skills are.

So, look at this:
6 mod +12 ranks = 18 skill modifier

now, when jumping, I...

1) Get +level to the check for +10
2) Get +4 per 10 feet my move speed is over 30 (+12, before consumable activations raise land speed further)
3) If I skill mastery this, I could just Take 10.

that right there is 40 feet of jump distance before taking 10 (50 after doing so)  and I have consumable effects that could  make it even greater;

Spend 1 ki point for +20 on the jump check (High Jump) is +20 feet
Spend 1 ki point for +20ft movement speed for 1 round generates +8 more
Using 1 round of my boots' haste gives +12 more, with 30ft extra land movement.

using all of those things, I can jump 80+roll (90 on a take 10) feet, since all my jumps count as having a running start and thus aren't halved :D

potentially could raise this with my ki pool for 1 ki +8 and using a turn of boots of haste for +12 more)

Who needs eagles?
yeah. Wow. Such Leap. Very Far. Much Matrix.

Every group needs a savage. Davis is a totemist (3.5 barbarianish class that manifest powers bestowing magic it's that theme around monstrous beasts-masks, hides, claws and the sort.  Each gives him a state or skill boost or attacks and abilities.)/fighter.
Davis lived in the woods for his life and eagerly rose to their defense.

Well met all. I'll be the second half-orc in the game. Likely in a different group from the first. I am a ranger/fighter with an emphasis on two-weapon fighting. Please don't mind my friend Reuben. I know wargs can be intimidating but I promise he's harmless so long as you don't threaten me. He's been very protective of me ever since I saved him as a pup.

General question

Does anyone know if you can use your Dex mod in place of Str mod for combat maneuvers? With Weapon Finesse?  or is there some other method?

Sorry to be a party pooper, but this isn't quite right.

The monk's speed boost is an enhancement bonus. The boots of speed use a haste effect, which is also an enhancement bonus, so the two effects do not stack.

The ki abilities require swift actions to use, and each only lasts one round. You can only use one swift action in a round, so only one ki ability can be activated.

I advise you to drop the strength and con items.

In Pathfinder, you'll need to buy the belt of physical perfection, which will add +2 to those stats.  It costs 16,000 alone.  You can't buy separate items in Pathfinder.  The +2 to Wis (Headband of Inspired Wisdom) will set you back an additional 4,000gp.

Re: Discussion Area

Tell me about it. So far I have spent three feats (Weapon Finesse, Dervish Dance and Agile Maneuvers) and two skill points to (perform: Dance) to change my combat stat from strength to dexterity. Lol.

It's expensive but it will make my character fight like an elf rather than an orc. :)
