Richard sealed his suit and moved forward to look at the hatch in case there were inscriptions to decipher.

Ardens hand hovers over the linkage, but he waits on Rutger before he uncouples his own suit.  First rule he learned on the all-too-regular Company emergency drills of his younger days: copy someone who knows what they're doing.

The Lt. leads the marine wedge into the airlock and establishes a small perimeter.

Richard follows as well.  He is looking around for controls or writing that would indicate exactly where they are located.

Ardens waits a bit longer.  Ostensibly for Rutger, but also to allow time for the smoke to clear if there's something lurking, or one of the marines has an overactive imagination. 1

1 albeit that's probably something that normally bars 'em from reenlistment  :>

If it is obvious that the airlock has opened and pressures are equalized Dina will release her grip and stand.

She remembers to reactivate the suits comms.

OOC:Marines don't imagine, they just tend to think everything is a threat, especially a hot blond in a bikini asking for cocktail refills at 100Cr a bottle. Or anything in between. ;-)

Richard steps forward, just behind the marines.  "Let me test the atmosphere." He sets up his gear and tries to determine if things are safe.

Rutger moved into he look scanning for obvious damage, ruptured hull plates, or other damage that could result in fire, explosive decompression, or other sudden forms of death. tapping his helmet lights and  video pickups he began to record the scenes paying close attention to gthe technical side of things.... and staying out of the marines way.

Ardens is almost certainly last to fly the nest, following after Rutger and doing his best to stay out of the ex-Scout's way, though he'll be sure to point out any damage that might have been overlooked.

Richard looks up from the scanner. "Atmosphere is safe."  He glanced at Chris as he stepped over to the computer access point near the airlock.  "What do you want to know Chris?"

"Make sure Hephaestus turns the lights on for us," Ardens calls out, though in truth the engineer is more concerned with, and appalled at the amount of equipment left to be carried.  Maybe that's why nobody wants to be last out ...

Richard nods and goes to the terminal.  He quickly plugs in his identity and attempts to contact the AI.  "Hephaestus, can you provide us with the quickest, intact route to the engineering control center?  Can you activate the lights along the route?"

Re: Imperial Marine Boarding Craft
OOC: Not sure of "science gear needed", my marines are basically loaded down with combat oriented stuff/toys, however, there is a small amount of leeway.
After securing the local perimeter, "Sgt., let's assist these people in their job, the sooner they are done, the sooner we can leave this mess."

The non-essential 'security' marines, help unloading the gear.
